Eating after 9 P.M.

Well I cannot tell you how many sources I've read where they tell you not to eat too late.

I try to eat every 3-4 hours, and usually have dinner at a normal time. However, if I get home from work late, I might eat around ten p.m. stay up another three hours, then eat some cottage cheese right before I go to bed. Your body goes into a catabolic state when you sleep, so I know that intaking casein proten is good. My question is; if you work out on a DAILY BASIS and your metabolism is through the roof, why would eating after nine p.m. be bad?

Everything ive read says not to eat carbs late (veggies are okay) not to not eat altogether. Like you said your body goes catabolic when you sleep so not eating anything since before 9pm would be the worst thing you could do....wouldn't it?

if your working on building muscle you should not avoid eating for any long period of time including the long time that you sleap. it would be a lot better to break up your sleap to eat.

ive tried that. do you know how hard it is to go to sleep, wake up and eat a meal, then fall back asleep? i could barely down a casein shake in the middle of the night and youre talking about a meal. i dont know about this one bro.

a casein shake with anpb, milk, and a cup of oats before bed should getyou through the night.

im talking about steaping at 2 different times instead of 1. say for example 9-2 and 8-1 or any variation. you will have a hard time at first but after a wk or so you adapt and it becomes the normal way. not every one can get away with this because of other duties but it is by far more effective than relying on a simple supliment to carry us 8-10 hours. i personally will never go back to that until the day i quit bb'ing.

Thats right, I remember you saying you sleep twice a day. its called polyphasic sleep. i thought you just tried it and went bck to once a day. so im guessing twice a day is working for you huh? you feel refreshed after each sleep? do you have a job?

we own our own business so i can come and go as i please (pretty much). yes it works better than anything for me. i noticed a huge difference in the ability to store mass after i made the change. i would bet my life that 99% of bbers (if they could do it) would see the same improvement that i did.

Yeah sleeping in cycles would be hard for the majority of the general public due to their work schedules...
