Difference between women and men in training

Me and my boyfriend we workout together, but I am notsure if I should be doing the same stuff he does, mainly because heis a guy, and he wants to grow muscle, and I think that ladies shouldhave a different kind of training. Should our programm be different?

women do not have the same hormonal structure as men, so if you workout with him you won't turn into looking like a man. those females you see around the gym who look manly are on the sauce.

so by all means workout with him, as long as it is a good program you both will benefit. i wish i could meet a girl who worked out with me on occasion

The only real difference between a man and a woman's workout program is the amount of cardio they do. Generally women hold more body fat and should do more cardio then men. Besides that, nothing really changes.

Women and men have all the same muscles and same hormones. Their weight training workouts should look very similar. Women usually do slightly higher reps per exercise because their primary goal is to tighten and tone their physique where as men want to build as much size as possible.

After all, the muscles are all the same in both men and women - we are not different species. As @muskate has well pointed out - perhaps some additional cardio would be the difference in order to lose fat. And obviously - men are stronger due to the additional testosterone, so sometimes you should not seek to be always on par with your boyfriend, and listen to your body - if you feel that you can't handle it, don play a hero.
