Basically, SA are a "polyol", which has limited impact on your insulin response and blood sugar. However, the SAs do have calories and DO metabolize like a carbohydrate, just at a much slower rate. End of story: in a sense it's "sugar free" but you will still have some insulin feedback from the product - it will just be minor. Also, don't forget it has calories like any other carb out there.
Thats the key... you can't eat 10 of them at 50 calories each and think you're gettin away with eating nothing... they are still calories regardless of the "sugar free" nonsense...
