Cottage Cheese and Cutting???

This is often recomended to eat by some of the more knowledgable bros before bed.

It is a form of cheese/milk, which most would agree should be eliminated when cutting hard.

Give me some thoughts.

FYI: I'm working out at about 9:30 every night (because of work). I have a dextrose + protein shake immediately after and usually have cottage cheese with anpb and walnuts right before bed (about an hour after the shake).

Also, I know casein may be a more optimal choice, but I'm trying to avoid two shakes in a row before bed.

Another thought is to eat another protein+carb meal while the insulin is spiking.

Please post with some thoughts.

Up to 2-3 hrs after your workout, your body is still in a catabolic state, meaning you can feed it pretty much anything and it'll soak up the nutritents. Cottage cheese should work fine, I'd opt for the fat-free no sugar added brands. The stuff I always pick up has for 1/2c : 80Cals 8Carbs & 13g protein.
