CKD...High V.S. low G.I Carb Load

Just had my 24 hour carb load and decided to have about 700 G of all low GI carbs instead of starting high and switching. I did not have as much energy to lift for my 2 day heavy lifts. Any comments.
 
Starting with high Gi early in the day and then moving to lower GI as the day went on worked best for me. If I did all low GI I had the same issue. I liked the big bump to get the glycogen loading going, but I wanted to stay away from high gi later in the day to avoid any extra fat gain.
 
Thanks for the info. I was thinking of doing the depletion at 5 P.M. Friday evening then load starting around 7 and continuing until 9 or 10 Saturday night. Could I take in all my high GI Friday night in 2-3 meals then do all low Saturday. Are sweet potatoes low GI? Is milk OK for the low GI day?
