Cher36 2005

man you ladies have good memories.
Yeah i did pretty good at the buffet...except for a little bit of mac n cheese and mashed potatoes...oh, yeh banana pudding...i think there might have been a cookie or 2 in there. :worried:
I am really having such a battle with sweets. I am extremely discouraged and feeling rather hopeless about it.
I just feel powerless sometimes, and it's just ridiculous...i mean who is in control me or the food? Well it seems like the food wins out more times than not.
I need help!

YES!!! You spilled the beans (er..cookies)

Ok, First of all , thank you for being open about it. I'm sure other women on here have the SAME cravings, you are NOT alone, whether they are afraid to post, etc... you are NOT alone.

I can only go by what I know...IMO, I made the proper food choices and adjustments to my diet and the cravings evenutally just went away, but resurface every now and then. I will be honest, I have cravings and terrible food FITs (one just recently actually) and they are not pretty.

All you can do is TRY to do your best ...

My willpower did NOT happen over night. Keep your goal in mind and you already know what it will take to get there...

I believe in you Cher...... Dust yourself off and try again..

Good luck...:rose:

You have NO IDEA how good my memory is, it's sick. My bf calls be a freak all the time because of it, for example I only have to see a telephone number 1 time and I'll remember it.

Anyway well girl, we can tell you things you should do until we are blue in the face (well in this case blue in the finger tips) but you're the 1 that needs to look inside you and get the willpower to say no to the sweets. Keep some fruit in your diet, that may help with the sugar cravings, chew sugarless gum.

I don't know how much more help you want, we give you all sorts of advice. We can't exactly come to your house and tell you no you can't eat that, you got to do it on your own. I wish you the best of luck. Girlie I mean this in the nicest possible way, YOU NEED TO GET SOME WILLPOWER.

:rose: :)

Oh and don't give up, like I've said before if you fall, get up and start all over again until you get it right.

LMAO GET OUT OF MY HEAD LIL ONE :bigkiss:

It does take a little time to get into the "diet zone" in your mind. I generally estimate about 3 weeks to get the good habits established, including getting the sweet tooth gone. But once you start to notice results, it becomes more and more obvious that it feels better to make that progress than to chow on some junk food that looks good. That is the mind set I have to maintain, and eventually I start believing it ;)

I drink lots of Crystal Lite and chew a lot of sugar-free gum as well.... :)

That's so true.

Also, I have packs and packs of DENTYNE FIRE in my office, car, gym, and kitchen.

Anytime I'm in the marketor drugstore I buy a bunch.

It's an oral thing - actually I think most eating other than for fuel is an emotional oral thing.

Believe me, I know i need some willpower. I can do it for a while and then i quit. At least lately anyway.
I have done it in the past, I don't know how i did though.
I don't expect anymore advice from anyone..I really appreciate everything u guys have done.. and miss 24k for all the diet info. I have it saved on my computer. ANd Jenscats for all the recipe help, i will be asking for more for sure. ;) I will just keep trying and logging as embarrassing as it is to post failures, i will be honest about it and hopefully not catch too much crap  .
I really appreciate the inspiring motivational words. It really means a lot.
I know i just have to want it enough to say no to the sugar, but it truly is an addiction.
My mom is very overweight and always has been. SHe has a TON of health problems because of it. YOu would think that alone would be enough to keep me motivated. Plus she is a major sugar junkie and eats it even though she's severely diabetic.
I need to make more time to fix food in advance and that would help i'm sure.
Just wanted to thank everyone, and i know it's me that has to get over this emotional eating.
This weekend is going to be tough, it's my sons birthday monday and we are having a party for him on sunda, and i will be making lots of desserts. Plus more treats for his class party at school on monday and then something monday night for his actual b'day. UGH!! :worried:
WIsh me luck! Btw..he will be 8 years old ;)
p.s) YOu guys are awesome!!!
