Well, high protein diet finally shows some side-effects. I tried Tums, Pepcid-Ac and all that bullshit. Every minute I feel like I can blow up my apartment building. At work (I work at the bank) I have to take fucking breaks to blow it out every five minutes. And while doing that have to make sure nobody is in the bathroom or smokes around me. My wife refuses to sleep with me now and whole house stinks like hell (my wife though, bless her soul, sprays Pier 1 stuff every day). What the hell can I do about it? I take about 200 grams of protein a day. Love my shakes. It's not milk. I tried to change milk on water and the same effect. I'm affraid that damage to our appartment is perminent and smell (oh, fuck, that crazy smell drives me insane!!!) will be here.
Any suggestions. Don't want to give up my protein shakes.

try ginger root or make a tea out of lemons skin and drink it with every meal
i eat a lot of protein.. don't even count it... i just pig out on it on every meal and i don't fart all that much... so you should consider going to the doctor and get checked...

i know exactly what you are going through! thestuff kills me lol. you just have to live with it(thats what i did) it eventually went away... god damn i'll never forget it though

Seriously take some Ginger Root. That should help you with your digestion.

I bought some Mahi Mahi at the store the other day and I was ripping the nasty fucking farts ever. I shit you not the smell was bad enough to peel the paint off the walls.
I don't know what it is about that Mahi Mahi but it does a number on me.
 
Your body will probably adjust. I used to get that along time ago and now I usually take in about 300-350 g of protein a day with no problem. Or you can go to www.under-tech.com and get a pair of fart pants. No bullshit im looking at an article right now in muscular development it says they come with replacable pads. But don't get carried away because they don't filter out sound.
 
I got one word for you...FIBER. How is your fiber intake? This used to be a problem of mine until I drastically increased my fiber intake. With every meal, you should be taking in adequate amnts. Fiber helps stablize your blood sugar levels and also helps with digestion, especially protein. I would add more fiberous vegetables to your diet such as brocolli, leafy spinach, celery ect. Also, look to replace white rice and breads for their more higher fiber counterparts (brown rice, whole wheat bread) as these have more fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Give it a try, your wife will thank you LOL.:)
