So I just got back from the lady doc, and she put me on a different pill. This one is called Ovcon. I was taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen for the past 4 years, but the past 6 months I have been experiencing the absolute WORST lower back cramps. She said that no matter what pill you are on, you should hardly be experiencing cramping. I mean, the back cramping is getting worse as the months go on. So anyhoo, she said with this pill, there should be no weight gain :( and my body may like this pill........which means no cramps!:D Are any of my lady friends here on Ovcon?

I've had REALLY positive experiences with estrostep FE. It really gives a minimal does of estrogen and has less side effects than other pills I've taken. It also supplements iron as most women are low iron when they're on the pill.

Shit! Hopefully I'll be the opposite of what you were. During that time of the month I'm already too emotional! I could cry, I am sooooooo clumsy its ridiculous:freak:, be the biggest bitch on the planet.......when I'm by myself and something pisses me off, WATCH OUT! I'll get so frustrated I'll haul off punch something. But I don't EVER let anyone see that side, they'd probably think I was a freak. I can't stand it as well as Pauly. I've been pretty good though in trying to control it.

I"ve been on the generic brand of Trilevelin for like 10 years now w/ no problems. If you just switched, I would think it would take a little while for a hormonal adjustment, but otherwise if it doesn't work, keep going back for a diff dosage pill. Nothing sucks worse then hormone induced moodiness & discomfort because its literally like there is no reason for it & it comes out no where to make your life miserable. Then everyone else thinks you're nuts. No wonder there have been so many fucking hysterectomies performed over the years.

Azia,

Have you been checked for endometriosis and/or cysts?

W6

No, I just had my annual checkup/pap today. A girl I work with has/had it and she said that her doc could tell by sticking her fingers inside. Wouldn't it also show up as an abnormal pap?

Yeah, she said to let it take a couple of months, a couple of periods for me to notcie anything. If I don't feel a change, then we'll switch again and again to find the right one for me.

Good luck Azia.. believe me when sensitive Nicole comes out.. better be careful-- Ill cry if Dunkin Donuts makes my coffee wrong... I couldnt stand it!

:FRlol: I totally understand! I was at the regular doc for a cold 2 months ago, and I didn't have the $$ for the co-pay, and I was getting frustrated (cause I hate that doc office) so I started crying because I was so upset!!

I don't think endometrosis affects the cells of the cervix, so you wouldn't necessarily have an abnormal pap if you have it - but I'm not sure about that. I do know that awful cramps are a symptom of endometrosis & I think excessive bleeding is too. Perhaps worth looking into.

I think it may also be one of those conditions that is way under-diagnosed.

Good Luck either way.

I relate to the moodiness too... I WILL cry of pitch a fit if food is made wrong. Why is "NO SALAD DRESSING" and "NO MAYO" so freakin' hard to comprehend???? Yes, JUST VEGGIES, Really!! ARGH
