Hey guys, I know its never a good idea to workout a body part two days in a row hard... but while you guys are "on" do you ever do it... or is it still a bad idea.... did 8 sets of 12 on leg extensions heavy.... and i dont feel it now... i wanna hit em again... Good or Bad Idea
 
Leg extensions ?? That won't give u mass at all besides if u go too heavy your knees will feel it, Squat, leg press , stiff legged deadlift you will feel the soreness with the one I just mentioned , use leg extensions to warm up. Rest it for 3 or 4 days and you might hit it again ..just don't overdue it...
 
You should probably try doing squats, leg presses or lunges and see if you feel it.

If you dont feel like shit and limping around the next day from a leg day then clearly you're not hitting them hard enough.
 
Well I am a squat maniac, I normally do 6-10 sets going all the way down.... but while doing squats my hip popped last week so for the past 2 weeks havent been able to do any lift that incorporates hips.... hence my new appreciation for leg ex
 
if you are well conditioned it can really help push your muscles to another level. Ross preaches this technique.. he even advocates working the same muscle 3 straight days.. of course like i said before, do not do this if your a newb and do not do it very often.. maybe once every 2 months only.

I hear ya buddy, bad assumption on my part.
 
I've been doing double leg days because I can no longer train them hard enough in one session without risking injury. So I go back to back and that kills them.
 
usually doing high reps lower weight day then high weight lower reps sets on next day works to break through plateaus for me. don't do it for long

Felt it or not doesnt mean anything. Hit them harder in 3-5 days again
