about the fats....

I was searching around about what Saturated fat and trans fat does to you. They both heighten LDL cholesterol and trans fats lower HDL cholesterol. Well I drink ~1 gallon of milk a day which has a shitload of saturated fats(2% milk) Plus quite a few things that have some saturated fat. Am I in any health risk?

I heard that if the LDL is raised, raise the HDL too to keep it somewhat balanced, is this true?

The prescribed and simplyfied ideal (hey, Im a simple person) is to have your LDL's low and HDL's high. If you have as much bad fat as you say, your cholesterol will go up, significantly increasing your risk of heart disiease and probabily reducing your life expectancy. You should get choloesterol checked by your doc (blood test). If it is up, you know why! Also these problems can be hereditary. If it is up, pay attention to diet and excercise. If none of this works you'll end up on a statin like me (drug to lower cholesterol).

I found drinking a gallon of milk to be an easy way to get calories and protein for gaining weight, but fatfree milk tastes like shit. I was wondering what type of milk everybody uses when they drink a gallon a day if this isn't a problem to you?

IF you have a genetic predisposition toward high LDL or 'high' cholestorol, dietary cholestorol intake is a concern.

If you dont: eat what you like.
