Well, for quite some time I was on Atkins and it worked great, I loved it, no problems. However, after about a year and a half of it enough was enough. I've got a fairly active social life and its tough to find foods to eat and I'm just plain bored.
A good buddy of mine has had great results with the Zone diet and I'm thinking about starting that up. We've started working out on a regular schedule and I like the flexability that the diet seems to have. If we need to run through and get something fast, I can grab up a chicken whopper or even a couple of chicken soft tacos, and while they aren't the best choices at all, they are zone compliant (4 blocks). It would be a relief to not have to worry about getting knocked in and out of ketosis.
Keep in mind that my goal is not 5% body fat or to really bulk up. We're going for overall health. Is something like this a good alternative for someone who just can't do that low carb thing any longer?
