Illinois tries to end a 2-game run of futility at home when they host the Wisconsin Badgers Saturday at Memorial Stadium.

The Fighting Illini look to avenge an earlier 24-7 loss at the hands of the Badgers.

Oddsmakers like the Badgers in this one, opening the line at 19.5 in favor of Wisconsin. They are 6-2 ATS this season, while the Fighting Illini are 3-4.

Barry Alvarez's troops hosted Purdue last game and came away with a 31-20 win. Oddsmakers had them as 7-point favorites in that one.

Betting illinois was a big loss last week...

The wheels fell off their offense. Wisconsin hasn't run one up in a while, so will be out to crush U of I this week.

The spread is huge, but I think it will be still be a beating of probably at least 30pts.

Maybe things are better in practice cause anything is better than being in a game for them?

Plus man, you gotta say stuff like that. No one can live with "we suck" all year long...

For the most part they are young and/or the players aren't of the caliber of the better teams in the big ten (this year). Once they come out and start getting pushed around they will lose all the piss and vinegar they saved up over the week.

Hope they get some new blood in over the off season and have a better year next year.
