DHL Message "Scheduled for delivery"?

Just curious about this message. I checked my DHL tracking status and it said that it had arrived at it's destination, that being the closest DHL center to my residence. It also said that it is "scheduled for delivery". Does this mean that it will go out today or that it is sheduled to go out tomorrow morning? I'm not familiar with DHL messages as I've only had experience with FedEx which have entirely different messages. I followed one Fedex package that listed when it had been loaded on a truck, when it was enroute, etc...

Also I noticed no customs message. It went from "left Shanghai at.." to "arrived at..". No message about going through customs. Maybe customs in the west coast aren't as strict?

Also the scheduled for delivery message was about 1:45pm PST so I'm not sure if any trucks actually go out this late. I'm really wondering as I may need to run home to catch the package. I'll be pissed if I get a sign on my door that says we missed you!

What that usually means is the package has arrived at the DHL hub where they re-sort the package for delivery. If the message was at 1:45 that means you wont get it until the next dayl. DHL's policy is not by 10:30 AM the next, they try to guarantee the next day from their hub site by 12:30 in the afternoon. Hope this helps....

Another thing, DHL only delivers in the AM. Packages are back at the office in the PM

Cool thanks guys. I guess I have to call in sick tomorrow I don't want to miss my package. I live in a housing unit behind a larger home and someone(other family) is always home there which is where the DHL guy would go. Even though they'd sign for it I don't feel comfortable on the off chance that a sting was setup and they got in trouble. Lord would I have a mess on my hands.

I still find it strange that no customs message was listed. It must have passed through very quickly. BTW their delivery policy is by 12:30pm? If so then I'll have just enough time to take my first dose and hit the gym! Screw leaving it on my counter for a couple days, I'll sign for it so if I get busted then I'm fucked either way hehe.

The good thing about DHL is they were founded in Europe and they are the Fed-Ex over there inlcluding Asia Pacific. Fed-Ex started here in the states, so customs is more strict with Fed-Ex then they are DHL. DHL can deliver up until 5:00 pm but they try to get it to you by 12:30 PM....

Seeing Shanghai is the largest port city on the Eastern Chinese continent, I would guess 99.9% of all packages leaving China are shuttled through here. I don't think I am giving anything special away. Quit being so damn paranoid, if big brother wants to get you then they will get you no matter how "secretive" you think you are hehe. Besides I never said what I ordered, for all you know it could be ginger root.
