Will this help me gain weight?

Ok ive set my mind to gain some weight, I weight 145 6'1. See if this plan will work.

1. Eat More
2. workout every otherday(mon,wen,fri,sunday)
3. Take creatine after workout
4. no more junk foods and colas
5.Sleep well

Will this work? Im hoping for atleast 5 pounds each month. Im newbie on this whole gaining weight thing, So all the help would be appreaciated.

Also,Can I drink creatine without working out or during skip days?

By the way, thats the exact weight and height I started lifting at. I'm 6'2" 260 with low bf now. Just so you know it can be done. Check out b-fold's before and after pics, or needsize's stats.

Don't expect a certain amount of weight gain each month, especially one that high. You will gain trust me.

Listen to him Sick. Just eat a ton, sleep a lot, and train areal hard. you'll grow like a weed.
 
I use Optimum nutrition's 100% whey. Its good stuff and its cheap.

Check out

Here's my tips.

1) eat breakfast every day, its the most important meal
2) try to eat something every couple hours
3) eat something (preferrably with lots of carbs like a peanut butter sandwich) and take a protein shake before bed every night
4) eat untill you about puke at each meal
5) dont do cardio, its the :devil:
6) dont waste your money on "weight gainers" as most are just empty calories and then you wont be hungrey for real food
7) do compound movements when you workout, and not so much isolation stuff
8) maybe get a multivitamin, it will make your piss look like Mountain Dew but dont worry.

I'd keep eating junk food if I were you. If you're like me you probably have a fast ass metabolism and its hard for you to gain weight, right? So the chances of you getting a gut from fast food isn't that much. You need fat and carbs and protein. Eat tons of fast food and pizza since thats got dairy, meat, bread, potatos (fries) etc all there. Eat like a starving ethiopian. As you start working out and eating more, your metabolism will probably get even faster and then you can gain even more weight.
 
Drink a bunch of water too. Like just get a huge cup or glass and keep it near your computer, and sip on it. I'll be empty before you know it and then just go fill it up again.

And take a protein shake within the first 15 minutes of working out, when your muscles are really hungry and needing it.

Dude, whats he do for a post workout shake then? you have him eating the world and drinking 3 shakes, two of those within an hour of eachother.

I say skip the shake before the workout and eat a high protein meal half an hour to an hour before you work out. Then after have a post workout shake.

No offense to you tarheel, but if hes gonna eat all that food he doesn't need that shake before the workout.

I meant take a protein shake within the first 15 minutes **of finishing the workout** :o I dont take a preworkout shake, do many people?
