Why does every man exaggerate their income on the web and in real life?

Ive never exaggerated my income..I make $30/hr. On a pace to make around $85k this year.

I make about $35K a year plus another 2 grand in matching 401K funds. I live in WV. The last stats I saw showed me in the top 50% of income for a family of 4 here in WV. However, I'm paying for a family of one. I live solo. I know that sounds like I'm getting paid shit pay for those in more inflated parts of the country. I live in an apartment that would probably cost me over $2000 a month in NYC. I'm paying $465. I've considered transferring to our Seattle office but I've been warned that I would need a huge raise to live the same lifestyle.

I've never heard anyone else on this board admit to making anything less than 6 figures. Statistically, 6 figures is quite well off in most places. Am I the only one that makes less than $100K? I doubt it, but I'm the only one that will tell the truth. Just like I'm the only one that will admit to being hung like a gorilla.

When I was in law school I was hanging out at the local law nerd dive bar and some attorney comes in and brags about he was making six figures when he lived in NYC and how making 60k in Toledo sux. Needless to say, the moron didn't factor in cost of living. Sixty thousand in Toledo is like making 120k in NYC.

Women value security and men value beauty. All else stems from this. It's not rocket sciense.

Funny, you hear women talk about how they make crap money all the time. Why? Because men don't value women for money. They value then for their beauty. (primarily) so it's ok for a woman to admit that she makes crappy money. Whereas for a guy to admit that (especially if he aint a young man - everyone starts out somewhere) is akin to him admitting he is a loser.

Let's see... I went from being on welfare to depositing more money in my account this month than you made last year and what is it, the 10th of the month? We live in Hurst, TX in a pretty nice shack, but we call it home.
