Warming up for a Max

what's a good warm up before I try going for a max? I feel I've been lifting too much before I try. My normal routine is probably more like a body building pyramid than a powerlifting scheme. Here it using bench as an example but I do the same with everything else.

2sets 10 x 135lbs
1set 10x 185lbs
1 set 10 x225lbs
1 set 8x 255lbs
1 set 7x 275lbs
1 set 4x295lbs
1 set 3x 305lbs
1 rep 315 on a great day 325.

I hate to type this much for nothing so please critque
and advise

I've read you're supposed to do a few sets of light triples, and then a few sets of singles leading up to your max. For example, you might try

135x3
185x3
225x3
275x1
295x1
305x1
325x1

Those numbers aren't set in stone. Try it yourself and feel what approach works best.

this is how we max..........

take the bar hit it for couple
95 for 3-4
then go 135 for a couple
then 185
then jump to 225
then 275
then go for your 315. ....i know you're saying"the fuckin bar"...i used to throw 135 on and warm up with it,and it just tears my shoulders up.through meetin people at meets,i watched the bigger boys warming up with a couple quick reps with the bar, then some would throw 135 on ,some put 95.basically they say what your doing is settin up each set as you go heavier.take the warm up i listed ,properly warm upthen if you're going to go for 315,i would make 275 the last warm up,then rest3-5 min and hit it!!!just my .02
