Very Low Carb Dieting-How the hell do you....

...Get thru the first few weeks. First, I hate dieting. I don't mind eating clean, but really dieting after bulking is tough. Prolly why I will not really "bulk" again, that and I am 30.

The problems on the very lo/no carbs diets-NO ENERGY at all to fuel workouts, pissed off all the time, low blood sugar. I am sure that these issues would subisde after my body adjusts...

So, is it just will power? OK, I'm a puss when it comes to dieting!
Any tricks to getting thru?

Currently 5'10 and 225 and I'd guess around 12%.
61 days to my wedding day (62 to the honeymoon in Playacar, MX), I am hitting the gym for longer periods, higher reps, more sets and exercises than I prefer, about to start the following cycle on Mon, it will continue right to the day before: Clen (5/day 2on 2off), T3 (50-100-150-150-100-50-25) and winny (100EOD), I'll be doing 20-30 mins cardio 3-5 Xs/week. I'll also be training on the field atleast twice a, week-plenty-o-runnin'. Weights MWFSu for 1 hour, simply modified my usual routine of 1 BP/week, adding more sets, exercises and reps-less rest. I am still going to failure, using forced and negatives, etc.

The CKD is about the closest to Keto as I care to go-I've gotta carb load on Saturday to fuel leg training Sun. Also, I feel I am prolly hypoglycemic, I have a real problem when I don't eat every 3-4 hours MAX-esp difficult when it's time to train-Back or Legs. Every leg day, without fail my blood sugar goes south, despite eating pretty well and downing a carb drink during training.

If you guys know the tricks of this trade I'd appreciate some help. I know the CKD and am willing to try it yet again, no hand-holding needed, just tips/tricks.

Thanks,
Rugger

It works for a lot of guys, not me but a lot of others, I have to maintain high complex carbs and high protein for effective training and functioning,

For diet and cutting throw in some serious clen before the wedding.

I think clen only works (for me) with serious cardio.

good luck

I don't think cutting carbs out totally is necessary. I get better results by limiting my carbs to complex sources like oatmeal, brown rice, and vegetables, although even when dieting, I consume simple carbs immediately following a workout. Just don't eat any carbs in the evening, and do 30 min of cardio in the morning on an empty stomach. Keep fat intake low, protein high, and carbs moderate. I have tried both ways, find this works better for me.

Carb cutting sucks

Dieting? No prob. Cutting out fat? Easy. Cutting out carbs!? Fuck no. I feel like total shit if I cut out carbs. I don't think that that's the best way to go either. I think some people have the false belief that if one cuts out carbs and bumps up the protein to compensate, the body will just use all that protein to put on muscle and since it's carb depleted, will burn fat. This is not the case. The body has unique mechanisms to compensate for nutrients that are lacking in the diet. If it doesn't get enough carbs, it'll make 'em using proteins via the process of gluconeogenesis. I like to keep my carbs at at least 30% of my total calories.

rugger, if your dieting you need to chill out on the intensity. You going to overtrain quick, stop the forced reps, ect. When dieting your goal is to maintain muscle mass, because while on restricted calories it's highly unlikely your going to put on lbm. You will not recover from workout to workout on a cutting diet if you push your training to hard.
As to the low carb diet, you need to try to cycle your carbs. Cut your carb intake to half of what you eat offseason. The next day cut them in half again. Stay at that for 2 days, then cut in half again for a day or two, then eat 200 grams less than you would while bulking.
600 grams offseason(200lb bodybuilder)
Mon= 300
Tues=150
Wed=150
Thurs=75
Fri=75(try to if your not looking too flat)
Sat=400
Sun=400
