The diet I'm currently using is the one where you eat meals consisting of either: protien and fat, or protien and carbs- not mixing carbs and fat at any time. I like this diet and am guessing that the main reason it works would be that you aren't spiking insulin levels and shuttling fat right into your system. Which, from what I understand, is part of what ALA does (preventing insulin spikes among other things).
My question is: Who here has done this type of diet and used ALA? Any recomendations? I've just been using it with carb meals (I alternate every other meal). It's too early to tell the results from the ALA, but this diet is nice for losing fat and retaining glycogen storage.
