My brother and I have begin lifting together but can not agree on a routien. He has a very good upper body but when he did his last show we noticed that his legs had fallen very short of the mark. Now I am lifting with him with the goal of working legs as priority. This means two leg days to one for every other body part. We are doing one heavy day and one light. Our heavy day consit of only squats and deadlifts, switching the first every week. The light day consit of leg press and machines to build form.
I want 4 days between light and heavy for good rest
day 1 - hvy leg
day 2 - chest
day 3 - lght leg
day 4 - back
day 5 - bi/tri
day 6 - off

He does not like the rest between hvy and light

So my question is should we do light on day 3 or 4? Thanks

I forgot a day this is a 7 day thing not 6 day 4 was sholders.

Anyway we will change it
day 1 - hvy leg
day 2 - chest
day 3 - back
day 4 - lght leg
day 5 - sholder
day 6 - bi/tri
day 7 - off

Does this look right? Also the other board said that I should just do one leg day, we are looking for max size, and strength. I am more power focused but he his more size due to being in shows. Right now I am helping him. I do not compete in any form. We make good partners so it all works out in the end.

Thanks

Too much, too often. Training stimulates growth but the down-time outside of the gym is when you grow & get stronger.
