Supporting muscles

I had a conversation awhile back with a strength coach for a college wrestling team. He told me that there is no need to work the bicept because it gets plenty of work when someone does rows or bentovers. He went on to say that some of the biggest arms hes ever seen were from guys that didnt do bi curls. Is the row and other compound movements good enough for the supporting muscles (trics, bics, traps)

I guess you don't know until you try. I haven't done any bicep exercises in a while but my biceps have gotten larger from compound back exercises including my favorite, chins/pullups. In my opinion, one can get a pretty complete arm workout with compound movements (pressing and pulling).

true.......i think straight barbell curls do rule though, they will add size to any bicep. imo compound basics are the king of strength and size, but SOME isolation movements are needed to push past platues and get that extra bit of size on you.
