Post Competition Var Cycle - Input Please

All so I have finished my last competition in the natural federations. It has been fun, but I want to add stuff into the mix now and have a little fun with my body.

I have just finished a week ago my last competition, dropped 25lbs and am sitting at 5'4 120 @10.5-11% bf. I am reverse dieting.

Big question: I was thinking of running var during my next 8-10 weeks of reverse dieting as a turbo booster for adding on lean mass during this "growth" window.

Thoughts????

Var isn't a bad choice, so basically you're in offseason growth mode? I'd add a low dose cruise primo in there personally..

Yeah I just finished my last competition in natural feds. I was wondering if adding in say 10mg of var (first time ever with this sort of stuff) and given how ramped up my metabolism is should I really boost my gains during the reverse diet?

Ie is this a perfect time to add it?

Steroids work best when fed properly regardless of when you decide to take them.

Personally, I'd wait a couple of weeks and then start a cycle. Wait till you're closer to your maintenance calories and give your body a bit of a chance to recoup. I guess it depends how depleted you were too. And...I'd only do it if you're confident in your reverse dieting abilities. Some people lose it and rebound hard and I just wouldn't add var into the mix then.

True story. Making sure I do all in my power so this does NOT happen to me lol

Yes I am reverse dieting now, and am SUPER OCD about following my coaches macros and program. I paid for the extra 8-10 week complete reverse diet program.

I have been doing all this without any AAS up until this point. I always placed in top 3, but couldnt break beyond that. So, I am done competing naturally and if I do compete again will do a different federation.

That said, it has been nearly 3-weeks since comp I have actually lost 1lb and my calories are up about 15%. My metabolism is crazy right now. I can eat my pre workout meal of 1-cup oats, 1/3cup blueberries, 1.5 scoops protein powder and in 20mins be starving lol.

Current cals are at 1700 right now. Coach wants to keep going up slowly until my body begins to gain weight then tinker at that level and see when things level off.

I will add var in a few weeks after the 12-week program so I know exactly how much I can add or need to add to go above maint.

My main goal is GLUTES. I squat 205@6x for a 5'4 120lb girl, and always ATG but my butt just doesnt grow. Gets super sore, from squats, barbell lunges, deads, romanians, etc, no fkn growth. So frustrated.

Anyway, everything else looks great. Just hams, glutes. Grr

Oh and one more interesting thing, it seems the more calories my coach adds to my post comp macros my body continues to drop weight, down 2.5lbs from competiton weight.

I am taking in about 1725 in cals right now.
