Pintoca CTS Trainig/Diet Program Review Thread

OK,

continuing with the crazy idea of the CTS (Cut that shit) Competition, here you have the first thread with Training and Diet Programs for your reviewing pleasure...

The idea is that every participant starts a thread with his initial program, so that it can be reviewed. 1 week before the 1st of April, we will copy paste all the final versions of the programs (after the valuable input from our fellor EFers) into a single CTS General Diet/Training Programs Thread.

Sounds like fun, heh?

Anyway, I started working on the CTS website (Ok, I only created the subdomain... but I did something, right???)

A word about my lifting: With all this cardio, muscle protection is a must, (for this reason I add a little protein powder to my morning oats)... one way to protect your muscle is by keeping it where it is!!! so, I will be lifting like this:

3 sets x 8 reps per muscle group. Each set till failure (max 10 reps, at which point I will increase weight)

So fellow competitors, start creating your review threads!!! (if you want, PM me your things and I will post them in the site as well).

Oh yeah, my goals for those 12 weeks.... I am starting the competition at about 203 lbs @ 23% BF... After 12 weeks of this program I want to be around 175lbs @ 13% bf (at which point I will take a little break from cutting)

PS. My program is a 100% cardio-fest thing, so if you are a newbie, take the diet (if it matches your current weight more or less) and the lifting program but tone down the cardio a bit: Skip the HIIT in the evenings and you will be fine. I am only doing it because I have been cutting for 6 months straight and it's time for me to up my game for 12 weeks and see what is the most I can achieve in that period.

OK guys, a little update here:

the last 21 days since my last update (6 months) have really sucked (cutting-wise). To make a long story short, I have only been able to train 6 days out of 21. Reasons:

a. 7 days on a Business Travel...food on the road sucks, pity the bors who work everyday on the road
b. At the end of those 7 days, we went skiing and on the way, we got into a car accident (a guy smashed into the rear of our car)... result for pintoca: Minor shoulder injury that had to be checked by Dr: 5 more days prescribed rest... GRRRR
c. At the end of the 2 weeks I was so eager to recover lost time I went head on with my programmed CTS cutting program. If you remember, it looked something like this:

Result of 5 days of that... I sprained my left knee... and couldn do cardio for 5 more days... this time it was painful as hell as well. Last night I started therapy (which is not cardio in my book: 45 min @ 65-70% MHR using the lame ass recumbent bike (the one where you sit like in a lazy boy kind of thing... Oh well, at least I was sweating.

In light of this, I am changing my cardio program to look now more like this (bye bye HIIT).

Notice I simple removed HIIT and reduced the intensity... I guess we will be able to see if the "training in the fat burning zone" is a myth or not...

Anyway, my advice to all you fellas: LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. It it hurts, stop doing that and don't suck it up (I did and now see...)

Last thing, my next cutting update is in 11 days... I have been lucky so far and have maitained my weight and LBM... with a litle bit more or luck I can maybe drop some 4 lbs still this month, until 11 april... (sigh)

Hey pintoca!!! Sorry i vanished!! I started a contest log in the womens forum but not sure what all you need from me. Its been hectic..*I had finals*nuff said!!

If it's not too late....But I understand!!
