Overtrainning

New member
Alright, i am already predisposed to overtrainning and was bed ridden twice for 2 months a pop.
I am working out 4 days on and 3 days off and i feel like my head is caving in when i'm working out. Do you guys think this is overtrainning.
Some factors i believe that may have caused the headaches are:
7 hours of sleep a night down form 9
i drink 1/4 gallon water a day down form 1/2
my diet is pretty much the same
i am attending college for the first time (stress level although i'm fuckin siked)

What could i do to avoid this headaches and what could be the culprit?

Need more info bro I cant really make any general assumptions like that.. try to keep your water & sleep up though they both are crucial in staying anabolic.

Sounds like a little overtraining and a lot of stress. Training is stress that your body adapts to; too much training leads to more stress that your bod can't adapt to and then you start to LOSE fitness. Even if your are training the same adding stress (psychological) has the same effect. Decreasing your recovery time (sleep) increases the stress on you as well. See how you could have overtraining like problems and still be training the same amount as before?!?!

Well IMO getting less sleep is the first red flag. And going to school is the second one. College is stressful. You are probably pretty stressed and that combined with training and not enough recovery (sleep) is what's up.

Cut back a little on training or sleep all the time! Hell sleepall the time anyway-your body needs it. I was training like a mofo and studying my ass off my 2nd semester and I got shingles!! Old people get it and it's very bad. I got over it, but it sucked.

Stress can do all kinds of stuff to you. I'll bet the headaches are related to stress. I'm sure you're thinking "school no problem" but subconsciously your mind is saying "we have a lot to do". The headaches could also be diet related-did your diet change significantly? Did you cut back on caffeine consumption?

Alright, in reply to Hades, a follow the routine set be the Max out progarem. Just in case you havn't heard of it it is a low volume, high intensity programe.

In reply to roadblock, no my headaches don't come from a particular excercise. It happens onve the intensity of my trainning increase. Although it comes on fster when i do movement above my head. (ie. millitary press).

In reply to fhg43, thanks for the insight bro. I am not trainning nearly as hard when i have previously wen into overtrainning(although i wish i could). I find it hard to get a full 8-9 hours of sleep. My diet has not changed in the least, if anything it has improved.

Thanks for the advice guys.
