overtraining?

currently i do 10 minutes of abs and 10 mins of arms everyday but i think that's too often because ive stoped making any progress (is this what's refered to as plateuing?) should i go down to 3/4 times a week or do i not need to stop that much? and just so im perfectly clear...this is to allow my muscles to rest/grow? im kind of new with some of these exercizing tendancies so i don't know a lot. thanks
 
dude overtraining, try undertraining!
I work each bodypart for about an hour, bis, tris, and abs a little over an hour. Every body part once a week, abs every other day.
DON"T DO ARMS EVERY DAY, youll see no gains and have no progress, especially with only 10 minutes of it. Your body needs to rest, maybe twice a week is okay, but no more.

I agree with wizkid....don't do arms every day. Obviously you want them to grow, so you need to split them up. do bi's one day and tri's the next, and maybe even shoulders the day after that. You also may need some variations in your workout. Do different lifts for each muscle every time you work it. For example:
The first time you work bi's do isolations and standing dumb-bell curls. The next time you work them do preacher seat curls and isolated hammer curls. You may also want to throw in some supper sets in there. Those have worked great for me. pm me if you need any further advice!!!
 
ummm, unless you are of another race other than human there are a lot more muscles than abs and arms :)

try working EVERY major muscle group (chest, back, legs, arms, shoulders, abs) once or twice a week...
 
js4201... whatsup bro? Yeah man listen to what everyone else has been saying to you so far. You want to train arms maybe once per week twice TOPS. You want to try and come up with a basic split maybe something as follows:

1- chest, shoulders, triceps
2- REST
3- quads, hamstrings, calves
4- REST
5- back, biceps
6- REST
7- REST

Just something basic and try and stick to heavy compound movmement. Arms everyday is the WORST thing that you can do for growth.
 
when i said arms i meant chest and back too, its not like i do just 10 minutes of bicep curls or anything. ill stop doing arms everyday..but what about abs??? should i do something like 30 mins every other day. im really focusing work on my lower abs. how should i go about exercizing? whatever i'm doing now is doing nothing for my lower abs(10 mins daily of all abdominal muscles obliques etc...) maybe 20 mins every other day of just lower ab exercizes? im clueless, any help would be really appreciated
