One smaller pec...HELP!

I am really paranoid about it now! My right pec is slightly smaller than my left, I am sure of it. People think I am making a fuss over nothing, but now I am aware of it, it haunts me! However it seems if I rotate my right shoulder slightly forward it evens them up. Maybe I need some posture realignment.
Any hints on how to even out my chest?

Thanks.

My guess is that you are not a very large guy yet. If you are not big yet, then don't worry about if you have perfect shape...just grow.

B fold, you guessed right! I am not big at all. Are you suggesting this is nothing to worry about and it will correct itself as I grow? I am also hoping that when I vary my chest routine it may also have a positive affect.

Thanks for reply.

Yes..don't worry about it. Visualize yourself at the size you will be at one day...huge!!!! It takes time my friend...never forget that...it takes patience and patience of time.

Sticking with dumbells should help even out any discrepencies you have between your left and right side. With a barbell its easy for one side to dominate.

I don't understand, how can one side dominate with a barbell when, by it's nature, it forces you to have both sides even? Whereas with a dumbell you might not be doing the _exact_ same thing with both sides, or one not quite as well as the other, which would cause a discrepency...

not sure, (I don't know too much about it) could you explain why dumbells are better?

With a dumbell its impossible for the other half of your body to help lift the weight on the other half becasue they aren't connected by bar. Lets say you have a week left bicep. If you are doing barbell curls your right might be doing more work, even if the bar stays relatively even when lifting. You can try this in the gym, concentrate on one arm and use the other to stablize the bar. You'll see that its possible for one arm to do more then the other.

Now when you do dumbell curls your dominate arm can't help your weak arm, so the weak arm is forced to do all its own work. At first you might not be able to do as many reps or use as much weight for the weak side, but eventually it'll catch up.

I have the same problem. Been training for 9 years, gained 80lbs. Its less dramatic than it used to be, but its still there. Mine was caused by a slight degree of scholeosis. I now have:

-Small Right Pec
-Big Left Pec
-Big Right Front Delt
-Small Left Fron Delt

What has helped, is strengthening my left front delt so presses use this more and the pec less, and isolating my right pec on a pec machine that minimizes delt recruitment.

Thanks for the replies:

B fold, time I have, and patience I am learning !

Haz, my next programme will have mainly dumbells in it, see how it goes.

growin', I too have a slight scholeosis, and one sholder is slightly lower than the other, when I correct this it seem to even out my chest. I am going to look into some posture realignment. I was once told it may be corrected over time with treatment. It is frustating, no one else can cotive it but every time I have my shirt off I start comparing. B fold is right, I shoul dforget about it for now and see what happens.

Thanks

yea my right trap is significantly smaller then my left and the muscle density is definitely also less. It bugs the fuckin shit out of me, people say they don't notice it unless I point it out but you can notice that shit once its pointed out. I'm wondering if it is from a past injury, my shoulders are kinda fuckt up from football so I'm not sure whats going on. Lately I have been doing heavier weight in my right hand for DB shrugs...do you suggest against this?? any suggestions would be great.
