Hello.
It's my turn, myway.
I kicked my coffee obession about 3 months ago.... and I feel great.
Started to kick the wine about 30 hours ago. I usully drink it every single night but have had NONE. I felt fatigued but anxious after about 24 hours. Wine is usually my sleep-aid. It's rougher than I thought but I will get through it.

It's 4am.
Hit he treadmill for a 30 minute run, did 50 pushups and tabata squats. and will hit the weights when my baby naps(around noon).

Breakfast is oats and berries with some almonds.
My water bottle is full.

HERE WE GO...wish me luck.

Congratulations in making those changes.
I'm going to suggest having the egg whites with your oatmeal, then getting another meal at 8:45 as you stated.

Go for it girl.... I know you and you are a very determined woman.... You will get it done.... need any help hit me up. My personal Training school is coming along great so any questions ask away. Im here for ya. take care....
 
Wine is my sleep aid also...and no yall can't have any.

11:30- half chicken breast and raw veggies
2:00- packet of tuna
Gym will need to wait until tonight... baby didn't cooperate.
 
4am?? Girl you've got some insane motivation. I wouldn't be able to get my eyes to uncross at that hour. WTG on the meals today, and I wish you much luck on the wine!!
 
Ok, Today wasn't so good. Not really in the mood to eat. I get like that and it SUX!
6am- maybe 3 bites of my egg white. Tummy just didn't feel like eating. Jumped on the treadmill for 30 minutes(HIIT) and did some push ups and crunches. Baby doesn't let me get to the gym, much, but I DO use a 70 pound weight vest on the treadmill..... so that helps.
I had a chicken breast and 1/2 apple after my workout. My body is REALLY grumpy without the wine. It is making it hard to eat..... but thats a good sign I shouldn't drink anymore wine.
I tried to eat orange roughy tonight, but only choked down 2 bites.
No worries. I'msure I will be back to normal when my body adjust to not having wine EVERY night. Its almost like Im detoxing. geeez.

Wine had always been a major part of my sleep aid.... so u will prolly be seeing TONS of 4AM POSTINGS FROM NOW ON. I have a brutal case of insomnia.

That was the SAME reason I used to LOVE wine in the off season, but once I dropped it seemed okay after a few weeks, so you can do it too!!

MW, if you really want to detox, this is the way to do it.

If, for instance you have 4 glasses of wine at night, have 4 glasses for 3 days, then 3 glasses for 3 days, then 2 glasses for 3 days... And so forth until you have 0, then you don't have any. Otherwise you'll go through uncomfortable withdrawals. This way will be seamless.
 
yea keep ur head up sweetie... stick to ur guns and focus on your workout plan and diet and believe it or not it will help to deal with all the other shit...

keep it up you will be in a better place soon. plus you will be in great shape and feeling fantastic..

Makes perfect sense.

My suggestion is to just try and shift that focus to something else? Or remind yourself of all the calories you were wasting on wine, and use about half of those or something to "treat" yourself to something each week? Could do the trick??

I completely understand what you're saying, and I think is so great you are hating the wine. That alone will keep you motivated. My advice is based on what Dr's prescribed when someone wants/needs to detox at home on their own. However, that also depends on how much you were drinking. If it wasn't much, then stopping cold turkey will only be uncomfortable and you will get used to it. However, if you were drinking a great deal, I really don't recommend you do that. Because I am a Health Counselor as well as a Nutritionist, I get to see so many people with challenging issues walking in my office that can be avoided.
I hope you're doing well today. It's one step at a time.

Wine is strangely addicting like that... I always wonder if it's because of the sweet taste and the warm after feeling. You can be addicted to wine without being an alcoholic, you know? It's like fermented grape juice -- beyond normal fermentation, LOL. In my experience anyone who likes grape juice, LOVES wine. We're all right here if you ever need anything!!

Last night was a little easier. I think it was just a rough 48getting the most of it out of my system.
So, I really think I'm doing a little better, today.

I didn't sleep, well..... but o-well. Maybe tonight.

I think the diet change and the cutting wine at the same time was a bad combo. I had a rough 2 days but I feel better, now.

5:45- egg whites and protien shake and multivit.

SHOWER:verygood:

7am- Woke up the baby, gave him breakfast(oatmeal and sliced strawberries), baby took a bath and got dressed.

8am- Went to the park to play with the playgroup:Popcorn:
There was no pushing or biting=s good day ...so far.

10am- Lunch for me and baby: veggie burger(no bun) and mixed veggies

So far, 50 ounces of water

11am- baby nap and ebay for me

1pm- 2tbs natty pb and made a snack for the baby(apple slices)

2pm- orange roughy and steamed veggies

4pm- baby is with daddy and I am off to do some weights at the gym

I see you mentioned diet change... how low are your carbs? I've noticed whenever I transition to lower carbs or have several lower days in a row that my sleep goes to shit when dieting.

Yea, I feel ya on the carbs. Carbs have EXTREME effects on me.... even the good carbs. I eat some, but never in the evening. My sleeping has been screwed since I was born.... so that's a whole other issue. I just do what I can and sleep when I can(note: its 4am and I'm on EF,lol). I get sick of all the sleeping pills the docs give me. Thy all quit workin and all of the natural stuff won't work, either. Honestly, wine worked the best but it's not worth it to me. I will find a way through it all.

Cool i went and hiked serpents trail today near the colorado national monument.... then jogged down...
pretty tough hike but great views...
anywayz makin dinner now

I LOVE hiking.... but nowhere cool to hike around here. Anywayz, have fun with that.

**continued from yesterday**
napped for 2 hours, woke up and cleaned the house.
Baby napped around noon and I went to the gym. Did about 45 minutes of arms, legs, back, tummy stuff.
(I know my details suck, but I have MAJOR Attention deficit...so I'm trying).
1pm- I had 1 cup of dry salad with cracked pepper and a can of tuna for lunch.

3pm- 2 tbs natty pb

6pm- mashed cauliflower and 1/2 chicken breast

1 gallon of water and NO WINE

Ya you click on the shirt options. You can change it to a wife beater and even change the cols too. I got some of the other girls read white and blue. White with green sleeves. White with blue logo and blue sleeves. I got myself a hoodie and some other stuff too.

Play around with the options you can make it any shirt you like with any colors you like. :heart:

Ur doin good hon...main thing is that ur feelin better and ur still modivated to do it... it will come together for ya an u can add or delete to ur diet as u go...

Agreed. It IS hard at night... but its getting easier as the days go by..

Natty PB is all natural peanut butter. YUM.
 
FUK! Darn it. I thought I broke my ankle but after HOURS(waiting, xray and MRI) in the ER, they said I have a torn anterior talo-fibular ligament. Basically, a bad sprain or whatever. This sucks. Now, I gotta find a way to work out on one leg,lol.
Its all about making memories......
