Mail From South America

A friend of mine said his friend in South America had sent him a birthday gift. Well it's been about 8 or 9 weeks since it was sent and it finally showed up in the mail. Is this common to take this long from SA? He said it's in his mailbox, do you think it's safe to pick up?

Sounds like a long time to me too bro. I got some stuff from South America and although it took three weeks to get it from the time they said they had sent it, in all actuality the date stamped on the package was only one week prior to the time I had received it.

Probably did not make it and was reshipped or the supplier did jot have an item in stock and had to wait to ship longer than was told to your friend or the middle man.

I was living in Minneapolis last year and I went to Brazil to visit my family in Rio. One day before departure I sent a big envelope with 100 durateston to my addy in Minnepolis. I sent by regular mail and regular mail its very slow but the safest in my opnion. I got my envelope in 21 days. It depends where u are. If I had sent to NY would take 15 days cause its a major city.
Before living in Minneapolis I was living in Miami and I asked my brother in Brazil to send me envelopes with AS and would take 5 days using priority mail and no more than 15 days using regular mail.
