OK...bring on the smart ass come backs and fat remarks but just remember, everyone reading this knows damn good and well that you would never say any of this to any of our faces in person

I slipped a disk in my back in high school, and broke my ankle sparing when I was 18, and still have enough scar tissue in it to the jion protrodes on the lateral side of it a good inch farther out than my other ankle... so I found this amusing also, since I've done deep squats with 505 on myworking sets, and have done hack squats to parrellel with 22 plates. Nice point orb. Its a lame excuse.

So....can I eat mac and cheese or not? Just kidding. I just had to bring this post back topic. But NJRipped, fyi, out of my real close circle of bros, 12 of the 14 of us have six packs and have had them for years. I am one of the two that doesn't have a totally ripped mid-section. Why is this, because me and the other guy want to put on mass. The other 12 just want to look good with their shirts off. Most of them eat like shit, drink like fish, and smoke their asses off and never hit the gym.

Sweet fuckin Jeezuzz! 6 pages of Mac and Cheese which turned into a flamefest! lmfoa! Wow .. i thought taht this was actually going to be 6 pages of mac and cheese talk.

NJ, one line of yours I find the most redundant, and that I here more and more people say all the time... is ... "I dont care about strength", or I just want to get big etc... I am a bodybuilder .. dont care about strength. The thing is that you will NEVER really grow until you get stronger. They are so closely related, strength and growth. If you dont try to get stronger ... you will never grow your muscles. But apparently as you have stated, you dont want to grow your muscles or even get stronger. And thats fine. Regular exercise, dieting, and hitting the stairclimber should keep you where you are for years to come. However to most of us, this is unchallenging. Do you really want to be lifting the same amount of weight for years to come just to maintain your physique?

Some of us just want to be "fit", while others like to keep constantly progressing forward building more and more muscle, and constantly challenging ourselves. THis is done by getting stronger. Progressively overlaoding your weight, and periodizing your training. The best way to do this is to constantly move more weight in heavy lifts like squats, bench, deads etc, eat lots, and use the right drugs. I personally am always aiming to set new records on all my lifts, and continue to progress forward. My girlfriend on the other hand trains more with the same theory as you do. She dosent care to get stronger. She dosent care to build muscle, she wants to be "fit" and thats it. And she does look .. reallllly hot! She has better abs than I do, and she is really fit. But we train much differntly. She is almost a vegetarian, and lifts very light weights all the time, uses machines and the stairmaster. What it comes down to is different strokes for different folks. Because you don't want to build muscle or get stronger, only maintain your abs year round, dosent mean that you should knock want2bbeast for wanting to grow and get stronger. And likewise if you are happy where you are, people shouldnt be giving you a hard time if you just want to diet and stairmaster and move the same amount of weight each workout to maintain your look.

Its pretty rare that someone is completely satisfied with their physique, when there are so many great physiques out there. I think that almost eveyone wants to add more muscle. But not everyone (like you obviously). It all comes down to different strokes for different folks, so I say lets drop the flaming... as amusing as it is.
 
Yeah well IMHO I think everyone should lay off of "lab boy" a.k.a. needsize. The guy has helped more folks on this board than can be counted (and off too if I recall his profession). The guy came in second in his FIRST contest (and should have been first by the pics!). He doesn't shit on anyone unless it's solicited in the first place. And then some no-brain-weenies crap on his opinion! Nice, is that what the guy gets for helping people above and beyond the call of duty on this board?

So the guy eats M&C and you don't agree with it, whoopie shit! Show the guy some respect anyway, he's earned it again and again. Personally, based on all the other sage advice the guy has, I'd give M&C a try anyway.

Anyways, I couldn't fathom dragging my ass to the gym everyday if all I wanted to do was maintain my level of fitness...........how freaking boring?

My fiance trains her ass off daily too, and again, does not care about getting stronger. TIs why she does daily cardio, plays tennnis, and uses the same amt. of weights everytime she's in there....she spices shit up by switching bodypart pairings, different exerecises, and ways to decrease her rear-end size (Trust me fellas, she wears a size zero, is in peak condition, but claims her butt is big.....strange) Anyways, my point is and always has been too each his own. You're going to find the majority around here want to be bigger and badder........

Truth is we are all born with a 6-pack................we aren't born with 400lb benches....

I couldnt fathom not wanting to progress forward either. It just gives you something to strive towards. Goals to overide, and a way to continually give yourself a sense of achievement and accomplishment.
