Log: My First Cycle (Anavar/Proviron)

Its no problem and its great to ask questions but you also need to be careful with thinking too much because that can be detrimental as well... Good luck

I am trying to get all my questions about each stage settled one step in advance (learn about cycle and pct before starting, get up to speed on sarms stack/cycle in advance while in this stage, etc.) so that while on that stage i am not second guessing my choice. Doing that made me feel so comfortable about the var cycle that i have been excited every step of the way and can enjoy it rather than stress or worry.

So far so good. Did another bodpod today and dropped two pounds of bodyfat while adding that same two pounds in lean mass for a drop of over 1% in bodyfat. The mirror wasnt lying and it wasnt my imagination when I thought I saw fuller muscles and more vascularity/definition.

I so felt like a god in the gym yesterday. Strength was up, which I expected, but my endurance was too. And it seems like I am recovering faster. I have obliterated my upper body the ladt few days (not being able to shampoo my hair after because my arms wont reach) but not really that sore after sleeping. Is that a normal reaction?

Flew home for the holidays on Tuesday. Went to the gym here Wed and again felt like a god the whole time I was there. Muscles were full and hard and veins are becoming more and more apparent in more places every day.

After a 30 min warmup and an hour of lifting, was still flying high and full of energy so dexlined the ride home and ran back instead.

Have stuck to my diet plan (2500 cals and 300+ protein) every day but Thanksgiving, which was my first cheat since starting and will be my last cheat for two more weeks. That being said, I crushed a ton of food for the holiday but my body handled it without the usual bloat I get when I overeat (usually takes three days to recover from a binge like that).

In short, still loving this.

Had my first post-Thanksgiving workout yesterday and was definitely a little sluggish compared to the workout from the day before the holiday. I was also feeling the initial symptoms of a cold (every time I travel home with my son I get sick - I swear he is a carrier monkey).

I am not sure whether it is the aas, the bloat/water retention from the holiday eating, the onset of being sick or some combination of the above, bit I had my first experience of "the pumps." I ran to warmup and about two miles in could feel my legs getting amped up like I had been squatting rather than running. The effect was then just as evident during my back and bicep workout. It wasnt painful and didnt impair my workout, but different from what I am used to. Still had a killer workout and my strength and stamina are continuing to increase.

With the cold now hitting me full on and my flight back home tomorrow, I will take the weekend off from lifting and cardio to allow my body the time to fight this off and try to get healthy to start the week. It is going to be tough to force myself to take it easy though. Normally I am a zombie when sick and want nothing but my bed and the TV remote. This morning I am still full of energy and want to do something even though I know I need to rest.

The cycle is continuing to go well. I caught a cold from my son while travelimg for the holiday, but am on the mend and feel better already.

This week is the last week I have to finish my hard cut for the bet/contest I mentioned in the initial post. I am doing a water/carb cycle and upping my cardio this week to really lean out as much as possible for Saturday. After that I will return to the general plan originally outlined for the remainder of the cycle.

I want to thank everyone again for all the help with designing this cycle and helping educate me a bit on aas, particularly dylan and joeblow. I am loving the feel and results and could not have done it without the assistance given by the members of this board.

I'll definitely be following along. Var + Prov is an interesting combo.
Good luck!

As of Monday I will be at the halfway point of this cycle and all I can say is that I am thrilled with the results so far.

My initial bodpid reading had me at 12.3% bodyfat at 180.5 pounds with 158.4 pounds of lean tissue. However, that was after a weekend where I wasnt exactly eating my best amd was a bit dehydrated (had a few drinks before cycle since not drinking while on it). I ran another bodpod a few days later and got what I think was a more acurate reading: 10.7% bodyfat at 182.7 pounds with 163.3 poumds of lean mass. I will ise this latter number so as not to overinflate the results.

As of today, i came in at 8.7% bodyfat at 184.6 pounds with 168.6 pounds of lean mass. This means that in four weeks I have dropped 2% bodyfat, lost four pounds of fat and gained five pounds of muscle.

All of my lifts are up (bench up 30 pounds) and I still feel like a god in the gym. I have also experiemced minimal sides - had some pumps bit better since adding taurine.

Looking forward to the next four weeks!

ps - I upped to 100 on the var this last Monday and wl stay there for duration.
