Hey guys so I just finished my new program with wendler's 5/3/1 and I want something for the Quads only.. What would you guys suggest other than Leg extension? Cause it's bad for the knees when heavy weight is used!
Just got back to the gym after a week break and they took both the leg extensions machines out... Guess I'll have to do something else no choice anymore -_-
Front squats work well but I always struggled to hold the bar on my shoulders. It hurts like hell to hold a weight that is effective for me. I can hold 225 with no problem but that does little for growth for me. I prefer hack squats or close stance leg press. Both of these blow my quads up very well and don't cause me any pain.

Practice makes perfect and you should be doing these...like Evan said they will blow up your quads, and Hack Squats are a staple in my leg routine as well. Squats in general should be your foundation exercise for leg development.

Back squats 8 working sets
Front squats 3 working sets
Leg press 3 working sets
Leg extentions 4 working sets
Straight leg deads 5 working sets.. My legs feel dead!
