It is way more racist in the midwest. There are more extremist down south, but the midwest is behind in everything. I live in Missouri and there is the kkk and all that garbage here. Living in the south blacks do have the upper hand. Every issue, no matter how trivial, is a racial issue. Blacks in general get their own way. What astounds me the most is the way the NAACP and other leaders support criminals. Vick, OJ, the Duke accuser, and these 6 kids are perfect examples of people who committed crimes but they are considered the "victims". Give me a break. here in NC we had a black politician get caught for ripping off his own people and when he got convicted they threw a party and literally played the theme song to the Jeffersons and honored him before he went off to prison! Criminals deserve to be thrown in jail - period.

this case is part of the growing pains our country will go through to free itself from its racist past.

They had a tree that black kids couldn't sit under withouth PERMISSION. What the fuck is that?

The kids should be punished for the ass kicking the delivered, but it was a school fight, and they have a 17 year old STILL in jail over it.

The ones that hung the noose on the tree broke no laws that were on the books, sad, but true.

The six kids continued to beat up that boy after he was unconscious, and by the letter of the law if you inflict bodily harm upon the helpless it can be construed as attempted murder. Hence, the charge.

All of the fights that occurred during this period should have the law applied equally. therefore, if you raised your fists to another student you should be charged with assault, if you hit someone and caused injury, it should be battery. White child, black child or polka-dotted child, the law should be applied the same.
