Is it OK to prepare protein shakes the night before for breakfast?

My girlfriend has started working out and she does pretty well in the gym

but no joke

she actually says she doesn't have time to make protein shakes in the morning

I fought her on it but whatever

is it OK to make the shake the night before? And then stir it with a spoon in the morning and hit it? Or does the protein deteriorate or something.

Preparing a shake :

Take the shaker = 8s
Add 1-3 scoops of prot powder = 9s
Add water or nilk = 6s
Shake = 12s

Total = 35s

Your GF doesn't have 35seconds ?

Anyway, if you prepare it and store it in the fridge it shouldn't be an issue refarding the quality of the protein

Or buy RTDs and all you have to do is open the can, lol.

I think letting a protein shake sit overnight is nasty. Can't speak for the quality of the protein though. :) I'm helpful! lol

No issue with protein quality or denaturing it just tastes nasty but if she prefers the the nasty ass protein shake over getting up 30 seconds earlier then more power to her.

The only problem I could see is if you have free form glutamine which degrades rapidly in water or creatine which also degrades in water. The actual protein shouldn't be a problem.

mix protein and h2o the night before. Put in fridge. drink the next day. The biological value remanes the same...next
