Hey Natural Dudes - How Come You Are Natural?

if you wouldnt do roids why do clen? Anything that alters the look of you body, CNS to that degree is virtually the same shit. If your going to take 1 chemical might as well take the good stuff. Your either natural or your not. Take what you want but from my experience gear taken in moderation is controllable and helps break through stubborn plateaus. If you have a high rate of addiction then its a different story.

everyone gets frustrated with plateaus and slow gains. but instead of working through them and giving it your all, some people choose to use illegal substances that give them an unfair advantage over everyone else. if you take roids and don't workout then you get fat. so i know they're still training just like everyone else. but i still say, if you can't get it the natural way then it's not something that you've EARNED. the excess gains over what you would have gotten naturally, are GIVEN to you.

who do you respect more? the sprinter or the race car driver?

The "next level" I was refering to is the level of elite bodybuilder. ie. pros. To look like a pro it is a simple necessity to use drugs. And it's not an unfair advantage if everyone is doing it, which is the case in the IFBB. Some people don't want to use creatine or can't afford proteing powder. Isn't someone who then uses them having and unfair advantage? And, no, the gains are not "given" to you. You still must work for them, it's just that you now have more muscle than your body could achieve and maintain without extra testosterone.

Who do I respect more? The winner!

Thank you, grizzly.

Ain't no thing, Belial. I just get fed up with all of the the "he's just that big because he's on juice" bullshit. It's partially true, but there's a lot more to it. One of my friends in the gym is mid-way through his second cycle. I haven't done anything yet(should be starting later or within the next day or two) and I crush him. Much more strength and muscle. There's just so much more to it than simply using steroids. There's a great anecdote from Arnold that pertains to this. He was shopping in the grocery store and standing in line to check out. Well, some pencil neck told his girlfriend that he would workout, but he didn't want to get that big. Arnold turned to him and said "Don't worry, you won't."

the winner? ok, when you're dead at the age of fifty and i'm still alive we'll see who the winner is! i go to the gym to increase my health. that's why why i'm natural. i'll be alive to see my son grow up and i'll play with my grandkids while you're in and out of the hospital with health problems. and when i'm holding my great grandchild in my arms, i'll laugh a little and think about how i could have missed it all if i chose to be stupid just to be a little bigger. my son thinks i'm monsterous. and i think pretty highly of myself also. maybe that's your problem. you need to respect yourself for who you are. always strive to be better but don't let it destroy you. and that's all i've got to say on this topic.

by the way, protein and creatine is good for your health, did you know that creatine has been proven to lower cholesterol? and if someone chooses to not use ANY kind of supplement, good for them. they should study up on their diet though so that they are getting the proper nutrition.

The race car driver for sure. They take risk to get to the ultimate level. And you got to admire people that take risk to get what they want.

when you see someone massive in the gym you are impressed right? then you find out they're on roids and you say to yourself "oh, that explains it". your respect for them was just cut in half if not gone totally.

I don't.I think damn he is huge and I bet he gets lots of chicks. Plus Grizzly is right you have to work out just as hard on roids as you do naturally if you want the full benefit of gear. I hate that stereotype of if you use gear you can sit on the couch and get huge. Whatever.

Plus I don't understand why everybody is worried about long term affects. Have you looked at the world lately. We probably are going to be nuked, gassed or bio'ed in the next 5 years. So get large why you can. :D

Just wanted to let you guys know, I've gained 13lbs in the last 5 weeks WITHOUT gear. body fat is still the same as when i started out so it's all muscle weight.
i guess i didn't need any "help" i just did it myself.

Did several cycles more than 7 years ago. Loved the pump and the strength. I remember having guys at the gym say, "unbelievable" when I did incline dumbell presses. (Actually a good angle for me genetically so it looks more impressive than my other excercises.)

The problem I had is that when I went off the cycles I would get sick and then depressed. I think the hormone change was really whacking me out. The illness would stop my workouts, and then my energy level was so low I had a hard time motivating myself to get in.

I'm not against gear now, however. One thing about gear is that you still have to workout hard and eat well. And it motivates you to do those things - I mean, who wants to throw away money by not getting the most out of it.

If I had a good source of Deca, I'd probably try another short cycle and end with Clomid to see if it helps. But since I don't have a source, I'm gonna try some of George's testosterone enhancing supplements and see how they work for me.

I'm older now (34 today) so I think my perspective has changed a little. I don't think the "natural" vs. "juiced" deal is really important. It's a personal choice for each bodybuilder. Of course, the illegality and potential side effects are an issue. But each person makes an informed choice.

One more thing ... the media and supplement companies really sell the "dangers" of steroid use. But we have to be careful about taking these scare tactics at face value. Of course, some of the "pros" today really abuse their bodies. However, moderate use does appear to be pretty safe. Anabolics are used in many older people for hormone replacement. They've also been studied as a male contraceptive with little side effect. Like so many things in life, it's really a matter of moderation, personal choice and the law. A glass of wine each day may be good for you, but it's not good for you if it leads to overuse and alcoholism, plus it's illegal if you're under 21 in the USA.

I really like this board. And I appreciate the input of every member, regardless of their personal opinion on every topic. Thanks for the motivation and debate guys!

I don't see the dead at fifty thing as being an issue at all. I'm sure part of it has to do with only being 23 and still thinking I'm immortal...of course, I AM immortal :)....but, look at dudes such as Arnold, Lou, Platz, Vince Taylor or Robbie Robinson. Are any of them dead? No, and they're all over 45. Hell, Taylor and Robinson are still juiced to the gills and competing. Taylor is still hanging with dudes half his age. What did he take in the O? 12th or 13th? If we use them as examples, then there's not too much to worry about, now is there? What's Arnold now? 56 or 57, I think. Well, he may not have any grandkids to hold, yet, but he's still surpassed that magical 50 year mark.
