Help with getting proper ratios in my cutting diet

I tried the ANPB diet twice and it just wasn't for me. I decided to revert back to a general diet I was on a year ago (before I knew anything about BBing and b4 I found EF), where I managed to lose 20 pounds pretty quickly. Anyway, it basically consisted of egg whites, tuna, turkey and chicken. I was trying to design it with 70% fat,30% protein and less than 30 grams of carbs and 1700 cals. Problem is, I am having trouble getting anywhere near those ratios with the protein and fat.

A friend had it changed to this, which is still not the right ratios:

meal1 1 cup egg whites, 5 flax pills

meal2 2 cans Tuna, 1 cup lettuce, 1 tbsp flax

meal3 2 slices turkey, 1 slice FF cheese, 2 tbsp ANPB

meal4 1 chix breast, 5 flax pills

meal5 2 chix breasts, 5 flax pills

meal6 protein shake w/ 2 tbsp flax oil.

= 1726 cals, 15.6g carbs, 207g protein, and 86g fat

help a brutha out here, will ya? thanks all.

Well, for one you need to add in whole eggs instead of just the whites (whites are nothing but protein). Tuna and Turkey are also mainly protein. Consider adding some mayo to both of them (dropping the FF Cheese) or just swap over to some beef. Flax alone isn't going to get you remotely close to the amount of fat you want.

Focus on:
Whole eggs (boil them, whatever) ground beef, mayo, ANPB, etc. as your sources of fat.
Look to Whey, tuna and turkey and chicken as your sources of protein. Tuna, turkey and lean chicken breast is extremely low in fat. Personally, I would either cut those foods out and replace them with beef, or just cut those portions down and add mayo (real mayo) to them.

I hear you on the whole eggs- very true. I couldn't find the breakdown on the kinds of fats in the mayo though. any word on that? good for cutting?

gracias.

I can tell you what's in Kraft Mayo:
Serving Size: 1Tbsp (14g)
Calories: 100 Fat Cals: 100
Total Fat: 11g
Sat Fat: 1.5g (which totally rocks)
Cholest: 5mg
Carbs: 0
Protein: 0

IMO, Mayonnaise really is a good source of some healthy fats. After all, its just Soybean Oil, Water, Eggs and Vinegar.

I assume you are trying to reach ketosis with this diet?

Why are you eating fat free cheese and egg whites? they can give you more fat to help reach the ratios.

exactly which ratio are you having trouble meeting? fat i assume?
