OK right now im trying to cut up for summer, im 12% BF and weigh 186lbs 6' tall. anyway this is my diet basically, I wanted to know when/ and how much L-glutamine to use. so could you please tell me where to trough it in my diet!

breakfast 8:30am- soy protein shake, one packet of instant oatmeal (2 metabolift pills)

lunch 11:30pm- turkey sandwich (made w/ deli meat), big salad

mid afternoon 2pm- 4 egg whites (2 metabolift pills)

workout- at 3pm

4pm- post-workout,,, whey protein concentrate shake

dinner 4:20pm- 3~ 3oz chicken breast, one cup of plain pasta or rice

8:30pm- either chicken breast or 6 scrambled egg whites

11:30pm- bedtime soy protein shake w/ flax oil

and BTW im taking 2 multi's, C+E, magnesium, B-12, calcium, zinc, protein, and flax oil

thanks,
stiff

i would take it post workout and around 10:00 pm if i was you, 5 grams each time, also i get l-glutamine at gnc, not the best price out there probably im sure you will get some posts with some better prices but for convenience it is good.

without pasta my only carb intake is 2 pieces of wheat bread and one bowl of oatmeal I think that would be under 60g of carbs a day,,,right?

If you can...get some whole wheat pasta. The stuff is pretty good and is better GI-wise for cutting up. As for the glutamine i would take it before bed and in the morning or pre-workout. Your preworkout meal is so small (4 egg whites is under 100 cals if im not mistaken) that it might be a good time to take it. I would say after your workout like the others have been saying but with a good protein shake post workout you should be getting good glutamine then. Just my thoughts

o i didnt notice this earlier, you definitely need to add some carbs in there postworkout, i do 75 grams dextrose postworkout, with additional carbs for the day coming from 1 cup brown rice in the morning,a nd a little from my shakes and bar, not much though and i have had great success. do at least 30 g. high gi carbs postworkout in my opinion.
