I saw an interesting show recently. You will know you are about to have a growth spurt if you start outgrowing shoes fast. Apparenlty your hands and feet grow first, then your arms and legs, then your core.
 
Whizkid et al, go light and work into it. In fact start way too light and add 5lbs a weeks perfecting form. Get your abs strong as hell and some more and you will be fine.. Ditch the belt if you haven't already, it'a a crutch (except for doing pr's) .. Your milage may vary.
 
So where can I see a vid or something of perfect form for deads? I'd hate to be doing them wrong...

I got the stiff legged form down ;)
 
good god, i'm sore ALL over! my hams and lower back are the worst, followed by my upper back and shoulders. one thing concerns me though (since i have 'lower back issues'), my lower back is quite sore and i'm always careful with my lower back, but is this supposed to be normal or..? tarheel: i've got a short vid, i'll post the URL for ya asap
