It has been my experience that changing the DC program in any way will lead to the "thats not quite DC style" statement from those who advocate that style.. If you want to add or change something to a workout then do it. If it works for you that is great. I think the biggest problem with following a strict workout plan is that we lose that addaptive feel for the workout. Somedays I feel stronger than others and want to add just one more set. Somedays I dont feel it and seem to struggle thru-out the workout. I have found things I liked about DC and things I did not ,so I kept what I liked and dismissed what I did not. Does that mean that workout is not productive because I did not hold the strict line? I have made steady gains in size and strength since I started lifting two months ago and my workout has been discribed as NOT DC STYLE. I can appreciate the passion that the DC people have for the style but the blanket statement "If it did not work for you, you did it wrong"is just not true. Different strokes for different folks.
