CARDIO Routine - Anyone try this?

I am trying a new cardio regime starting this week. Instead of my usual 5 min walking warmup then running as long as I can, usually about 20-25 mins, then walking on an incline for another 10 mins, im gonna try something new. I will walk for 5 mins, then sprint for 5 mins, walk for another 5 mins then sprint for 5mins, do this about 3 times. anyone ever try this?

HIIT? High Intensity Intervaul Training? Or at least a form of it... mine went a bit like this

30 seconds sprint, 30 seconds job -- for 7-12 minutes. It worked like a charm... I did it for a month starting at 4 minutes, ending up at 12-13... and I honestly burned alot of fat off in that month

I might get back into it, it was very muscle sparing too...

It’s called interval training and is quite common. Most cardio machines will have this type of thing in their pre-set courses. It allows you to keep at a high intensity for longer.

im not saying a total all out sprint but get the pace up pretty high.

Even so, that's an eternity, even if not at a full sprint. Do a search on HIIT and HIT. There's a ton of information out there on this. It should be a great help.
