I will bring a towel to the gym tomorrow...I will allow you one attempt...when you fail to get five I will laugh in your face and post your ridiculous attempt to seem 'cool' for everyone to mock...hahaha

has anyone else here used a towel hung over a bar for pull-ups?

if you can do ten with your bodyweight you have a good grip...lol

Yes. It demolishes your forearms! When I was doing it, I wrapped the towel over the one place and held my hands on the same piece of towel, in effect, as close together as possible. Probably even harder on the grip than holding a towel in each hand or and end of the towel in each hand, or not?

That was about a year and a half ago though, so I've no idea how many I could do now. Back then it was about 5, but I've improved out of sight since...

the way it works the best is to hold the towel with a hand on each end, and do not wrap the towel around the hand, just free grip it...good luck

When I said I wrapped it over one place, I meant one place on the rail I was hanging it from. I still was holding the towel in each hand, but they were close together as if I were holding a baseball bat, I guess. At the time, I didn't have a proper gym and was improvising, though I could've held an end in each hand - just didn't think of it :)

lol at pillsbury...he said he can do 20....i am thinkin the only way he'll get one is if i tape an ice cream cone on top of the rack
