calculating bodyfat

I was going to purchase a weighing scales with bodyfat setting on it...

I heard from a few people these are rubbish and dont work..

any ideas? how do you calculate?

I could be 12 or 18% haven't a clue never checked before...

i purchased the hand type. My feet have to many calluses.

The hand one may be 1-3% off. but i am only using it to check up and down. Only water will give you 100% truth.

Just be consistent when you check. I always do it in the morning after a glass of water.

At least that is my thought.
