Hello Buffalo Gal,

Excuse my ignornance but what is a T-Rex? and Gluconell?

Are you basing your calorie intake on body fat or total weight? Do you have the HARRIS-bENEDICT formula for weight loss?

Relaxing before last of abs!

Good luck, BG! We'll all be here for ya' whenever you feel like stopping in! It's hard to leave people you love, but there's always the telephone, e-mail and vacations - don't forget about that!

See you back here soon!!!!!

Ha - Bet you thought I wasn't looking... ;)

Guess they don't turn off my internet til morning. Thanks for all the well-wishes gals! I need them more than ever. The buyer for my house backed out today.

But, here's to maintaining a healthy attitude as I make the transition to a better and much brighter future. This new job really is a dream come true and that's what I need to focus on now.

I'll miss you girls, but will be back better than ever very very soon. Until then, eat clean and enjoy your workouts for me. It'll be a long time until I'm settled into a routine again. I can't wait until that happens - I'll be ready to kick some a$$ by then!!

Hi ladies, I made my way up to NY and am "trying" to get back in the swing of things. Have stocked up as much clean food as I can in my mini-fridge.

Went and checked out gyms today, first day in town. The first one looked pretty good, reasonable rates and a personal trainer who may be able to help with comp. prep, although I haven't talked to him yet.

The 2nd was at Bally's. I explained to the guy I wanted to do a comp either in Oct or next spring and told him I did 20 min HIIT cardio every other day, one body part per day split, and ate fairly clean (relatively speaking judging from the last week :worried: ). Then I went on to explain I'd like to get down near 10% for my comp (just a wild guess from me at this point) and he told me I would plateau. And that it was also IMPOSSIBLE to lose 1% BF per week.

He then went on to tout Bally's nutrition website and how a clean diet only accounts for about 50% of a total workout program. I told him I was able to drop 7% BF in 10 weeks and his jaw hit the floor. Oh, if only he could meet you girls on here. The guy just didn't have a clue (obviously judging from the looks of him). But, I did get a free pass for tomorrow and he'll be out of town, so I think I'll use it just to get a workout in without having to see him. Then, take the week trial membership at the one I actually liked and go from there.

So, I think I may be back into some semblance of a routine. My eating hasn't been real good and it's taking a drain on me mentally. Just stopping in to share my gym experience! I'll see how much I'm able to post, considering I'm now on dial-up...

YEA!! I am so happy to see you back and that you made it to NY safely. It is great to hear that you are already settling in (a little) and getting familar with the new city.

I know that looking for a new gym can be a chore, but I am sure that you will find you a great one. Just stay away from that Bally's one - WOW!! (I am speechless on that one) :worried:

Anyways, keep your head up and try to do the best you can with the resources you have available to you right now. Know that you will be able to be back on a schedule and back on track in no time. But, for now give your self a little slack :qt: Hang in there BG and know that we are all behind you 100%!!

Way to hustle on finding a new gym!!! To be honest, I was a member at Bally's down in Atlanta, and I wasn't all that impressed with it. They have more of a barbie feel - or they use to anyway. I HATED how all the cardio equipment was in the middle of the room and ELEVATED about 4 feet so everyone was free to STARE at you! URG!!!

Stay focused....and don't let the eating slide too much or it will be hard to pull it back tight. Good luck!

....and sorry to hear about the dial-up :worried:

I'm so happy to see you back, BG! :bigkiss: I know you haven't been gone too long, but I've missed reading your daily log.

Good job on already looking around for a gym! I haven't had the most positive experience with Ballys either. It's marketed for the masses and tends to be very crowded after work. But the first gym sounds like it has potential and you'll get a much better feel after that one week trial. Anyway, hang in there with your limited resources....it's awesome that despite your current situation that you're doing your best to stick to your program. That in itself speaks volumes on your dedication and I'm sure you'll have NO problem competing when you decide.
