BuffaloGal's Log

For the next two days, will be trying my hardest to clean out what food I have in the fridge. May have some strange combos in here for meals, but have to unplug the fridge Wed night and want to get rid of as much as possible before that. Should be interesting... :worried:

You know, I'm never really concerned with WHAT it is as long as it provides my macros. It's always fun to change up the diet. So easy to get bored!

Ugh, today was not a good day. Went to have my body fat tested before I left, kind of as a baseline to when I really start up again. It hasn't moved one iota from the last time!!! My weight has dropped 3 lbs, all of my clothes are looser (I'm in a size 4 for crying out loud, down from an 8). And my stupid fat measurement is still the same! Still sitting at 18%!!

So, I'm going to be analyzing this diet and try to come up with something different after the move. Maybe time to cut out the few slices of bread I have, along with that horrible cottage cheese! I'm gonna hate to give up those whole wheat tortillas but something's gotta go. Granted my cheat meals have been overboard now that I have so many going-away parties and my stress level has been through the roof.

But, I stil would have thought I would have dropped a little, even if it was down just 1%. Geez, talk about feeling like a failure... :sulk:

**Went out to eat with a friend who needed a shoulder to cry on. One nice thing about getting crappy bf results is that your appetite suddenly seems to disappear. No way in hell was I going to consider anything remotely damaging to my diet, even though at the time all I could think about was giving up. But, being the perfectionist that I am, quitting is not an option.

Please don't let that one number of bf% rule you. Look at all the other progress you've mentioned here including that you WENT FROM A SIZE 8 TO A SIZE 4. That is a huge accomplishment!! There are a lot of factors that come into play with bf% testing from the water you may be holding to even doing just one pinch incorrectly. And honestly it does get a lot harder to drop when you get into that lower range...however, you're doing an excellent job at this time with all the eating out and stress you got going. Keep it up girl, and it WILL come off!

Believe me stress and food are two definite culprits in dropping body fat. Don't be so hard on yourself. You have a strating point now. I mean before you started at a higher BF went from an 8 to a 4 that's a great accomplishment. Give yourself a break and go at it full throttle again. There's plenty of time and it's not swimsuit season right now anyway! Keep your chin up!

^^ prior two posts say it all.

You got the number, use it as a reference point to make the appropriate changes. DO NOT let it define your accomplishments, you're doing a great job. Tweak, Tighten & work hard. :)

:bigkiss:

Thanks lovely ladies! You don't know how much I needed that right now.

Today was my last day of work at this office and it was so much harder than I thought it would be. I started crying a couple hours before I left and haven't really stopped since. :(

This may be the last time I post for awhile. I get my internet disconnected Friday morning and then don't know when I'll have access again. Could be as early as Tuesday, could be another 4-6 weeks.

In the meantime, I'll keep trying to make good food choices and keep things under control. Then it's full throttle come about the middle of March. I'll try to check in when I can, even if it is just to lurk for awhile. Until next time...

We will miss you, BG! :bigkiss: Wishing you a very smooth move and transition to your new home....we'll be right here waiting for your return. I know you'll make the best food choices possible in the interim because I've seen that determination in you, girl!!
