7/7/05:

Was in Austin for a few days... really had fun.. but because of that I'm not taking pics this week.

Meal 1 9am: Shake, 30g protein powder, 1 TBSP Hemp oil, 2 fish oil caps

Meal 2: Tuna & Almonds

Meal 3: Salad, blueberries, tuna, FF cream cheese

Meal 4: tuna & flax

Meal 5: sweet potato & chicken

Meal 6: Shake & Hemp

I know the feeling... had to take a 4 days "pause"... coming back today to the gym fully energized. See it as 1 sterp back in preparation for 2 steps forward

How was Austin? Did you cheat much? There were three barb-q's in a row and I sort of extended my cheat meals from Sun into Tuesday dinner time. I felt so damn guilty. I added an extra 20 min to my cardio to try and make up for it.

I have a question about youe meal 1:

I'm not sure why you'd need to take fish oil if you're using hemp seed oil. From what I've read hemp seed oil is about the best balanced blend of EFAs you can get. Just curious if there is some added benefit I'm not sure of from also adding fish oils?

Hemp/Flax doesn't have EPA & DHA


Most fish oil supplements are 18% EPA and 12% DHA, or a total of 30% omega-3. These omega-3 fatty acids, unlike the omega-3 fatty acid found in flaxseed oil and other vegetable oils, keep blood triglycerides in check and may inhibit the progression of atherosclerosis.
 
I got shipped back out of town but have been back on track now since saturday. I will be in town for 2 years now as I am leaving work to finish graduate school. I see it as an opportunity to get into the best shape of my life because my schedule will be much more flexible. I have not been posting my diet everyday I admit, but my meals have all been basically, shake/hemp oil - tuna/almonds - chicken/blueberries/salad - shake/hemp oil - PWO shake - chicken/sweet potato/salad/

I will either post pics this week or next and I am going to start posting my meals again even though it's super boring :)
