Best Physical Features on MeN?

Hey everyone

The age-old question was lingering in the back of my mind today, and that is....what do ladies look for in a guy in terms of physical appearance?

You see, there are plenty of mags that do polls on females asking what they physically look for in a guy..but I tend to disregard em cuz the polls are set up in a constructive shitty manner. (for reasons which I really dont care to go into much detail)

After lurking and posting here at the Elite Fitness Boards, I came to the conclusion that MOST of the females/posters here are downright honest. Yes, you get much respect from here.

Anyway, I just want to concentrate on physical appearance. Yes, I do know plenty of females look for a guy that knows where to find her spark within her which many dudes may tend to miss. Yes, some females would prefer a fat dude with a sense of humor and a charming personality but just wanted to concentrate solely on physical appearance.

If I had to guess what females look for in a guy (one thing is true IMO..females are ALOT more picky than guys, which will be great for this poll), these are the traits.

1. Attractive facial features- (including eyes, cheekbone structure, etc)
2. Rock hard abdominals
3. Good ol Buns
4. Chest
5. Shoulders
6. Arms (may be somewhat included with shoulders)

Overall:

Girls prefer a lean, somewhat muscular body that isn't too huge...rather than a guy with huge arms and chest who stomach isn't cut.

THanks for the input, and yes..us dudes do think tons of these things! :) It's one of the reasons why I lift weights, partly to attract the opposite sex. Yes...personality may count more for attraction, but having an awesome physical appearance is just another arsenal in the bag.

I have to disagree with that. When I was much heavier I picked up all sorts of women. Why? Because I'm huge. They like big. They say they like the model look, but I've yet to meet a girl who doesn't love Arnold.

Grizzly:

I'll be honest with you, I went out with more women with a higher body fat level than I did with a lower body fat level. Why? I feel that I was more of a prick, harder to get along with when I was dieting..as opposed to being more of a 'fun-type' and way more social when I was bulking up. That may be due to the hormonal shift in the body, more serotinin, and other goodies floating around.

But...i still feel that just based on 'appearance' alone...I still feel that a lower body fat percentage is more attractive in general. Brad Pitt vs. Arnold perhaps? Of course, plenty of females I bet still like big dudes.

i know this will sound weird... but i don't find the huge muscular guys appealing in that way. i can appreciate the hard work and the musculature though.

i don't go for looks first anyway... i have a HUGE appreciation for funny guys though. i don't know why, but it's something i've noticed about myself.

I have always been attracted to men who are VERY muscular. The bigger the better ! BALD IS VERY SEXY AS WELL! Give me the Mr. Clean look!

I married a man who is none of the above- go figure! He's lean and muscular but NOT big by any means..What you "like" and fall in love with are two seperate things indeed!

I'm kind of the opposite-I always liked the guys with a lot of body hair-it exudes testosterone and masculinity.Nice, thick delts and a small hard butt..a good V-taper.:o

I'll take a developed chest, shoulders and bi's over really cut abs (as long as they're at least flat). Some attention should definitely be given to the lower body as well. Overall, I prefer medium muscularity - definitely more than Brad Pitt (he's improved recently, but still looks barely out of puberty), but not super heavy-duty, but that really depends on the guy. The only thing that really turns me off, other than bad hygiene or yellow teeth, is really skinny guys. Obese is almost as bad. Looks are important for that first impression (the first 5 minutes), but they can only take a guy so far.

I'm with w8liftinglady - I love lots of body hair, especially on the chest. I hate the hairless, skinny male model look. I like guys who are confident and have focus and direction. I like a big tall man with broad shoulders, who can wrap me in his arms and give me a big bear-hug. My husband has the best hugs in the world! :)

Symmetry is important - don't like a big huge chest on spindly legs or huge legs with no back/chest.

I always look at hands and forearms too, not sure why - I like strong hands and forearms. However, I don't like bulbous Popeye forearms - just muscular, but not bulging. Maybe the hand/forearm thing is looking for the combo of strength and a gentle touch.

I have liked every kind of guy in the book, fat and short skinny and tall you name it

and they all had one thing in commomm they could make me laugh, trust me guys, it's not all looks,

but i must admit a dark guy with blue eyes is a real turn on!!

Buns!!!!!
Ok, I prefer a guy with muscles, not the freaky ones, but like Le LAbrada ;) nice tan and no hair, beautifful smile and most of all you have to be comfortable in your own skin CONFIDENCE baby.

I find it funny how he didn't want the emotional side just the physical side of the attraction. Despite how linked they are, and you gave him the personality bit all the same. LOL Thats not how it would be if We were asked to say what we look for in the body of a female. We can follow directions we wouldn't feel the need to add in the personality bit when it was specifically asking based on physique ONLY. I guess your priorities really are quite a bit different. Don't get me wrong obviously personality is important but we wouldn't feel compelled to add it in when we were asked what kind of bodies we go for and what body atribs we look at 1st.

i am with fitfossel..i like the cut look
but i do have to admit when i am at the gym the first thing i look at is their ass.
any guy with a nice body, cute face, short hair (not much body hair) and BLUE EYES is a turn on!!!

a shaved head is nice...i personally just don't think long hair on men is attractive at all...but that is my own personal opinion. we all have preferences.

Nothing truer than women like different things in a male. For instance, I'm turned off by blondes, LOOOOVE black guys as a general rule. But across a crowded room with clothes on, the face (eyes especially) will always catch my attention first, followed by a general assessment of "do they look after themselves?". So a beer gut or scraggly hair, long beard, rotten teeth, etc... would put me off. A kind, honest, sensitive face would be a winner. If that face appeared on an athletically built hunk I would turn to jelly LOL. But good build or good looks would never make me go out with someone. If the personality's not there then all the gym time, gear, dieting, tanning, etc... will not make a difference.

That's true - You can appreciate a guy's physical appearance aesthetically, but as far as what turns you on, it's all about the attitude, baby!

But I think when you work hard and conquer the things that you personally believe detract from your appearance, you gain confidence from that, which then shines forth in your attitude toward life, thereby making you more attractive to others.... Fennec's Philosophy of Life in a nutshell. ;)

I'm not big on blondes. I like dark complexion, dark hair, light eyes, lots of muscles, big turn on! And if there not good in bed there out.

p.s. I am referring to men here not boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Men?

I know this sounds weird, but I like muscular guys with their winter-fat on. Not fat - no beer bellies - just a nice little store of fat over a LOT of muscles. Say about 15-18%. But over plenty of muscle.

I don't like the super cut look.

Oh yeah, and the ass. About half as wide as the shoulders (when seen from the back).

Hair? Hell, at my age (37) - any guy in my "range" WITH hair is a godsend.

I AM HAIRLESS AND HAVE A GOOD BUILD

I have no hair...well in certain areas and I keep that trimed.

The ladies say my booty is the best thing on me...well, besides the D*&@. In case you ladies wanted to know?

Be more than happy to send you some pics:)

Once upon a time I was always first attracted to the face. Then height was sometimes a deciding factor. Now that I train really hard and I realize the expectations of people in this industry, my expectations have also changed. I am attracted to a trained physique. "Symmetry" is very important. Developed arms with untrained legs says to me that you are scared of leg day and therefore are a pussy. My boyfriend now has it all. 6'2", 245lbs., rugged type features, and a bad attitude. too bad.

maybe thats why woman always hit on me.i have green eyes, shaved brown hair and ver symmetrical.and i cant forget self-confidence.the only problem is there little too late im engaded and very happy

wide, boulder shoulders with high round ass. Must have sense of humor. Full head of hair is preferable, but not a must.

Waterboy...you are not getting what you want because women in general don't fall for looks alone. I don't speak for all women, of course, but in general...

you should be stable, but not boring
confident, but not cocky
make a woman laugh, and you've got her

if you happen to look like the Rock...that's a big plus!!!!
