Best Physical Features on MeN?

Hey everyone

The age-old question was lingering in the back of my mind today, and that is....what do ladies look for in a guy in terms of physical appearance?

You see, there are plenty of mags that do polls on females asking what they physically look for in a guy..but I tend to disregard em cuz the polls are set up in a constructive shitty manner. (for reasons which I really dont care to go into much detail)

After lurking and posting here at the Elite Fitness Boards, I came to the conclusion that MOST of the females/posters here are downright honest. Yes, you get much respect from here.

Anyway, I just want to concentrate on physical appearance. Yes, I do know plenty of females look for a guy that knows where to find her spark within her which many dudes may tend to miss. Yes, some females would prefer a fat dude with a sense of humor and a charming personality but just wanted to concentrate solely on physical appearance.

If I had to guess what females look for in a guy (one thing is true IMO..females are ALOT more picky than guys, which will be great for this poll), these are the traits.

1. Attractive facial features- (including eyes, cheekbone structure, etc)
2. Rock hard abdominals
3. Good ol Buns
4. Chest
5. Shoulders
6. Arms (may be somewhat included with shoulders)

Overall:

Girls prefer a lean, somewhat muscular body that isn't too huge...rather than a guy with huge arms and chest who stomach isn't cut.

THanks for the input, and yes..us dudes do think tons of these things! :) It's one of the reasons why I lift weights, partly to attract the opposite sex. Yes...personality may count more for attraction, but having an awesome physical appearance is just another arsenal in the bag.

I have to disagree with that. When I was much heavier I picked up all sorts of women. Why? Because I'm huge. They like big. They say they like the model look, but I've yet to meet a girl who doesn't love Arnold.

Grizzly:

I'll be honest with you, I went out with more women with a higher body fat level than I did with a lower body fat level. Why? I feel that I was more of a prick, harder to get along with when I was dieting..as opposed to being more of a 'fun-type' and way more social when I was bulking up. That may be due to the hormonal shift in the body, more serotinin, and other goodies floating around.

But...i still feel that just based on 'appearance' alone...I still feel that a lower body fat percentage is more attractive in general. Brad Pitt vs. Arnold perhaps? Of course, plenty of females I bet still like big dudes.

i know this will sound weird... but i don't find the huge muscular guys appealing in that way. i can appreciate the hard work and the musculature though.

i don't go for looks first anyway... i have a HUGE appreciation for funny guys though. i don't know why, but it's something i've noticed about myself.

I have always been attracted to men who are VERY muscular. The bigger the better ! BALD IS VERY SEXY AS WELL! Give me the Mr. Clean look!

I married a man who is none of the above- go figure! He's lean and muscular but NOT big by any means..What you "like" and fall in love with are two seperate things indeed!

I'm kind of the opposite-I always liked the guys with a lot of body hair-it exudes testosterone and masculinity.Nice, thick delts and a small hard butt..a good V-taper.:o

I'll take a developed chest, shoulders and bi's over really cut abs (as long as they're at least flat). Some attention should definitely be given to the lower body as well. Overall, I prefer medium muscularity - definitely more than Brad Pitt (he's improved recently, but still looks barely out of puberty), but not super heavy-duty, but that really depends on the guy. The only thing that really turns me off, other than bad hygiene or yellow teeth, is really skinny guys. Obese is almost as bad. Looks are important for that first impression (the first 5 minutes), but they can only take a guy so far.

I'm with w8liftinglady - I love lots of body hair, especially on the chest. I hate the hairless, skinny male model look. I like guys who are confident and have focus and direction. I like a big tall man with broad shoulders, who can wrap me in his arms and give me a big bear-hug. My husband has the best hugs in the world! :)

Symmetry is important - don't like a big huge chest on spindly legs or huge legs with no back/chest.

I always look at hands and forearms too, not sure why - I like strong hands and forearms. However, I don't like bulbous Popeye forearms - just muscular, but not bulging. Maybe the hand/forearm thing is looking for the combo of strength and a gentle touch.
