Anyone else have a huge grip strength imbalance?

I'm glad I started training my grip seriously. If you think about it, if you never train your grip then your dominant hand will significantly overshadow your other hand. After all, what do you spend your entire life using for shaking hands and jerking off? I can get about 30 reps with the trainer CoC with my right hand and can't even close it all the way with my left. So I'm training my right hand very casually and murdering my left at this moment.

I am fairly proficient with the COC grippers. It is unlikely that your left hand is actually that much weaker than your right hand. Everyone, even left handed people like myself, have a much harder time closing the COC grippers with their left. It is because of the way the grippers are made. The spring is wound so that it closes straight with a right hand; it wants to twist with the left hand. I have a gripper made by Lemley that is wound the other way and it is much easier to close with the left hand.

I can consistently close the #3 COC with my right hand, and I'm looking for a witness to certify me right now, but I still haven't closed it with my left.:(

However, my left hand is stronger on levering sledges. Go figure.

....xtremePL2000, Ed Coan can close the #2, but not the 3.

i'm glad to see you back

I knew it was one of those 2 :)

If he ever gets on the comp anymore I'll ask him about it.
