Anyone else eat over a dozen raw eggs a day?

Just wondering if anyone slammed these down like I do, and if you think it has any benefits. To tell the truth I can drink a shake with 8 eggs and protein with milk and I feel empty about 10 minutes later. Even though its almost 800 calories. I take the yoke out of course.

a dozen raw egg yolks? id say thats a very bad idea. boil the peckers dood. thats fucking crazy.

a dozen cooked eggs? yea, its a great addition. he yolks burn off quiick, which is way you feel empty quick. like eating chinese or some such.

RAW eggs? You are INSANE!! You are risking yourself for salmonella poisoning, and on top of that, you get NO benefit for consuming raw eggs because, your body cannot simply digest raw eggs, none at all!

It's time to put away the " Rocky" movies and stick with cooked eggs bro.....

I would love to know where you got that info from. Your telling me the 70 calories in each egg go straight out my ass?

Of course your body can process raw eggs, what are you thinking? This being said, don't eat raw eggs. If you eat a dozen egg whites you should include at least 1 or 2 yolks.

well, i eat about 4 eggs in a sitting when i want to get egg protein, and as long as i clean the shell out (they sell iodine at the store), i know my chance of salmonella poisoning is 1 in 20,000 (because salmonella is infinitesimally unlikely to occur in the yolk, so long as the shell is intact, see http://www.foodsafety.gov/~fsg/ceggs.html for more info). with the risk of salmonella effectively eliminated, i do notice other side effects from eating so many eggs. most notably, gasses (and even when i don't eat carbs with the eggs), and i hate that. i've noticed that eating the eggs without any sugars (using spenda instead) and avoiding carbs does minimize the effect, but nonetheless, it still happens. i would say that you can eat them, but since i tend to prefer balancing out my dietary intake, i have an ideological problem with eating too much of any one food. I honestly feel that consuming too much of one nutrient (no matter how nutritious it is touted to be), can't be a good idea, as even the most rudimentary of humans tried to vary their diet, but theoretically, no, the protein should not be a problem as long as you don't have digestive problems (the gas problem i mentioned before)

but i will add that as long as i don't have problems with digesting them, i definitely feel the nutritious benefit from them because i notice quicker recovery times the next day, almost as good as when i consume whey with flax .... and although this is anecdotal, it does correlate with the known biological availability value of eggs, so i would surmise that using them (safely), has its value

I usually eat 6 eggs a serving with bread or rice. I eat all the yolks too.

Thanks Kidvilla, well thought out answer, good info too. The yolk is so high in cholesterol. Thats the reason I take it out.
