Before the flaming begins... I know, MRPs are not good and Real Food is the way to go....

Having said that, there is a time and place for MRPs every once in a while, not as an staple (example, better to have a good MRP than starve or crash at the next McD).

Anyway, the one I am asking about is Weider's Maximum Protein Bars...

These babies weight 100 grs and come packed with:

42 gr Prot (from Whey, Milk and hidrolysate from Collagen Protein)
40 gr Carbs (out of which 8,4gr are alcohols).
8,2 gr Fat

Carbs most likely are the usual suspects: Fructose Syrup...

Fats come from the choco cover... (I guess, and whatever other stuff they put into it...)

I eat these about 2 or 3 times per month... when I am out for the whole day in meetings or where I cannot get decent food (or bring mine).

Flavor is not that bad either... takes a bite or two to get used to it though...

What I like about these bars is that they have more proteins than carbs and in my research for an "Emergency bar" that was very hard to find...

what do you guys/gals think?

peace

Nothing wrong with a protein bar every once in a while when youre in a jam... its obviously not as good as whole food and you obviously know that so I wont lecture you. Being an engineer, I always have a hard time finding time to get in a meal so having a bar every once in a while is no big deal. I only think it'd be a problem if you ate them on a consistent basis.
