Neurostim +C?

Graphite

New member
Well I found a site that was having a blow out of Neurostim +C for $5 a tub so I bought 5 tubs.. Thats allot of neurostim!

So i'm cutting, any good ideas of using this. I'm probably going to use 2 servings upon waking up and 1 serving before cardio/lifting.

Scivation NeuroStim +C:

Acetyl L-Carnitine: This is used in the formation of the neurotransmitter, acetylcholine.

Choline: This is found in cell membranes and is involved in the movement of cholesterol. It also produces acetylcholine which is used as a neurotransmitter for normal brain functions and muscle control. Most diets will contain more than enough choline as it is found in a variety of foods (ie: beef, eggs, beans, peanuts, wheat germ). High and prolonged doses of choline can cause low blood pressure, but you will likely just experience gastrointestinal upset. You may also start smelling like a fish (not kidding) at high intake levels.

Tyrosine: This is used to make epinephrine, norepinephrine, serotonin, and dopamine. Tyrosine also aids in the production of melanin and in the function of organs in the body responsible for making and regulating hormones, including the adrenal, thryroid, and pituitary glands. It is best consumed in combination with vitamins B6 and B9 and with copper. If you are using MAOI's (Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors), tyrosine can cause severly high blood pressure.

DMAE: This was originally designed as a 'drug' to treat ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). When the maufacturer's found out it was too expensive to conduct clinical trials, they dumped it onto the market as a 'dietary supplement'. It is believed to raise choline and acetylcholine levels. You may experience gastrointestinal upset, drowsiness, increase in blood pressure, muscle stiffness, weight loss, insomnia, and depression. If you are epileptic, suffer from convulsions, or are bi-polar, you should avoid this. Although data is available to support the use od DMAE in cases of hyperactivity, no data is available to support claims made my supplement manufacturers.

Huperzine A: Although this is a Chinese herb, you should not use it if you have epilepsy or have had prior seizures. Their is also a hightened risk of changes in heart rhythm when using this. You may also experience blurred vision, dizziness, headaches, vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, stomach cramps, and sweating. Huperzine A also has a drug interaction profile due to its ability to prevent acetylcholine breakdown.

Vinpocetine: To ensure optimum absorption rates, this is best consumed with food. The vast majority of studies on vinpocetine have all dealt with individuals with some type of impairment to their health. Very liitle data is available on long term effects on healthy individuals. You may experience some gastrointestinal upset when using it. Do not use if you have low blood pressure, frequent bouts of constipation, suffer from seizures, have liver problems, or if you are using blood thinners or have a bleeding disorder.

Caffeine: Stimulant, diuretic, and an irritant to the GI tract.

With the exception of the caffeine, this supplement is more suited for individuals with mental impairments and then only under the supervision of a physician as certain ingredients can interact with normally prescribed drugs for such conditions.

I have only seen Scivation NeuroStim +C in capsule form.
The normal doasge is 6 capsules (one serving), 30-45 minutes prior to working out. Start off using a reduced dosage rate though to judge how you feel if you do decide to use it.

I bought 5 tubs myself and I like to use it before going to class and stuff like that as opposed to before a workout. It gets my extremely focused but more calm than amped and ready to lift
