WSB, hypertrophy, not just my imagination...

I had a hydrostatic and caliper body comp today (the most reliable method out there, IMHO). I had one done by Wilson6 on Feb 22, 2002, just prior to switching to Westside training. So today marks almost exactly 9 months, and my LBM is up 13 pounds, and fat is down 5%. In my entire first year of BB style training I only gained 6 pounds LBM, and that included a cycle.

I still contend that certain "types" respond to WSB training better for both strength AND size. Only one way to find out if you're one of them. I'm just glad to have tangible proof of what I've been suspecting for months.

Congratulations Spatts!

I'm still contemplating what kind of training I'm going to jump into in the new year, I've got a bunch of different ideas sitting on my plate... such a hard choice....

Keep up the fantastic work!

I for one do not like Westside training. BUT I did notice that when I used it that I was able to gain some good core muscle and my body fat dropped, and this is with no cutting of calories or cardio or anything. I must admit I was impressed with that aspect of this training but it just didnt increase my strength at all, I only stayed to the same and once even degressed.

Wilson6, on the women's board, just confirmed that my LBM by bod pod in Feb was 130.5, not 135, so that's 18 pounds rather than 13, but doesn't take into consideration the standard error when comparing two different test conducted by two different people. Like I told him, even if it's 50% off, I'll take it!
